I have no potatoes but I do have Pork & Sauerkraut ready, although...

"Serve Pork & Sauerkraut on January 1st! According to Pennsylvania Dutch tradition, pork and sauerkraut will bring good luck to you and your family in the year ahead... if it's eaten on New Year's Day.  Serve pork and sauerkraut with a large bowl of mashed potatoes."

... my Landlord (TJ) does not like pork or the smell of sauerkraut!

It's only 6:30PM so I guess I'll cook on my Weber...

I did not know about the mashed potatoes.

Remember, the article says if you eat pork/sauerkraut & potatoes it means:

"good luck to you and your family in the year ahead "

So I am cooking for all you guys!

Just have some potatoes today for me

My family always has pork, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes on New Years Day because Aaron is a fan. It sure does stink! I think your decision to cook it on the Weber was wise because the smell infuriates my Dad! Haha
