Timothy actually hired my once, to help him do a driveway over...do you realize that concrete hardens very quickly? and that you have to "stay at it" at all times, lest the stuff hardens into one big stone slab? I never hustled so much in my life...hauling wheel barrows full of this stuff, with TJ barking orders in my direction...no lunch breaks allowed! Good grief..I was fibrillating all day, huff, puff!! ...much respect to all youse concreters!
It was an honor to be invited to John Kuhar's 90th. He still goes out and gives estimates for his sons business! Perhaps the nicest person I have ever known; next to Pea that is.
Kuhar also introduced TJ to a stick shift on the floor when he sent him to the cement supplier "down by the River" to get more cement. Timmy was 15 and drove the Dump truck in 1st gear about 16 miles round trip through Mayfair 'cause the concrete was hardening! So many stories...
