go to you tube & listen to her singing jazz w/ the NE Philly Brecker Bros. and the best of musicians and then look fo rher art work....left Sasketchewann at 19 with a sack full of songs and hit the road from joint to joint til she was pursued by the biggest mamagers in the biz.
Got preggers in 20's and disappeared for months from performing, gave up the baby for adoption and much later reconnected with her daughter who by then had 2 children and Grandmom Joni became a doting one.
Very very creative person w/ an odd personality but rich in originality....I always remember St. Francis C. and the girls listening to her songs in the Campus Club snack place....I didn't connect w/ her style til much later & now have couple CD's
Has lost some of her range be/ she was heavy smoker for many yrs.

Funny, I watched the Woodstock movie too and I didn't come up with a song like this... or any song at all. Where does the creative spark come from? I guess they call it "talent".

And then CSNY gets it and turns it into a completely different song - I guess they had talent too.

Good stuff Pea.

Eva is angry. And rightfully so...
