I visited with my Derma Doc today @ the Lebanon VA. After she Zapped me with that Gas stuff about 220 times she asked me if I was using Sun Screen every day. Yes, I said. She asked me if it was her that was supplying me with the Sun Screen. I said, No.

• She then said, I will supply you with the proper Sun Screen & when you need more you can order it on line! I said..."that would be swell...but I don't have anyone to apply it to my back!"

My Derma Doc said..."tough shit!" ( I'm just teasing about the last sentence) she actually said, call me! ( I'm lying about that too)!  Point is? Free Coppertone for Life!!!

Where & when ?

A One year notice...Maybe you have heard about ACHE? Well, we are doing another ACHE in Lititz in 2014. ACHE...(Athletic Competition of the Highest Echelon)

The original ACHE is still going strong 40 years after it started...Next year we will start a New ACHE in Lititz Pa & you are invited to participate. The Format looks like this: Teams will consist of 3 people. One member will be 18 or younger, another member will be 19 to 40, the 3rd member of the Team will be 41 or over..Events will be held over a Saturday & Sunday and will consist of:

1. Swimming Relay
2. Bike Relay
3. Home Run Derby
4. Obstacle Course
5. Mile Relay

and that is on Saturday. Sunday events will consist of:

• Bowling
• Basketball- Foul shooting
• Horse shoes
• Miniature Golf
• A Soccer Game...
• Your Team can participate in any number of Events you want to...1 Event or 10 Events! But the Trophy will be presented to the Team with the most points! And it will be a swell looking Trophy...

All of this will be capped off with a Splash in Poppy's Pool & I guarantee...you will ACHE!!

 John was here last weekend w/ photos of Jonathan & their visit to the The Tommy train, Michael was here today w/ stories about attending Gran kids  Swim Meets...Alyce was here a few weeks ago w/ 2 of her Gran kids & then Posted photos of a day @ Hershey Park w/her Gran kids & of course I am surrounded daily by Timmy & Maureen's Gran kids!

Birding...I did this last Fall...drill some holes in a piece of wood and put some peanut butter in the holes.

• Problem was... the squirrels climb the post eat the PB in about 30 minutes!  I mention it cause I was in my Bird & Fish store yesterday & saw this log drilled with holes selling for $19.99 !

This is the only High School graduation photo I have, so please bear/bare with me.

Timmy & I were talking poolside about kids entering 1st grade, pre-school or whatever. Is it about age or maturity? How do you judge maturity? That got me to thinking...

• I had just turned 18 when I graduated High School (born 5/31/46, grad 6/09/64)
• John was born 11/43 & graduated HS 6/11/61...he was 17!
• Alyce was born 9/22/42 & graduated 6/07/60...she was 17!

Am I right here? Did our parents just want us out of the house? or were they considering our development & maturity? I'm sure they thought long & hard about it...since 1st grade was Free...

I will say no more than this...and what follows, of course...

It was Blair's 1st night at home and the AC Unit that services Blair's room shut down! Maura came down from Blair's room and said "What is the problem!?! We are sweating like a BM up there!"

• it was about 6:46 PM...and Maureen knew someone to call!!!

Mark showed up in his HVAC Mobile & fixed the AC problem in about 20 minutes...

• Is there someone you could have called for an HVAC prob on a Saturday night?
