Was at a Lancaster Outlet today...bought one thing, But...

...if you have a need for things and an Xtra thousand to spend you can really save some money here! It's not just clothes, they have all kinds of stuff! It's like a Flea Market for people with $$$!

• When you think about, if you need something & buy it at The Outlet, it's like putting money back in your Bank!

I don't get a lot of Spam...

I just checked & I had about 400 Spams...took me 3 minutes to get rid of it. But it got me thinking...people do Spam to make $$$. As ridiculous as the stuff is, eg, how is anything going to make my Manhood 3"s bigger? No way I will ever be 6'4"!...People must be sending these Spamers money or they would not continue to Spam! Correct?

Meanwhile, the makers of SPAM...are they Happy with the nasty connotation? What recourse do they have if they don't like the term?

Therefore, the purpose of this Post. Go out and buy a few cans of Spam this weekend & give it to your Kids. It would be interesting to see if after eating it, anyone in the Family reports that they grew 3 inches in the week after eating the can of Spam...

Don't get me wrong! I have No problem with the late night sawing, sanding & yakking...I can't even hear it. What I do have a problem with is that they leave my door curtain, which separates my B.R. from the Saw Room, in total disarray when they leave! you should see it some Mornings...

Driving the PCH

After an eight day trip to California, I returned home last night to beautiful and friendly Philadelphia. I flew to California last Wednesday and stayed with Sam in Redondo Beach. After a few days of "family time", I decided to rent a car and drive north on the Pacific Coast Highway. I did not have an itinerary or an actual travel plan but my goal was to see the California coastline and hopefully make it to Mavericks (A notorious Big Wave Surf location just south of San Francisco).

I left Los Angeles on Sunday at 4:00pm and made it to Santa Barbara, CA at 9:00pm. This was a short drive, only around 90 miles. Santa Barbra was a nice place with a very neat marina and boating scene. The one thing I did not like about Santa Barbara was the amount of homeless people. But, I can’t blame them. If I was a homeless guy, I would be in a place like Santa Barbara.

I left Santa Barbara on Monday at around noon time. My route was north on the Pacific Coast Highway. Some of the towns I visited on this stretch of highway were: Prismo Beach, Morrow Bay, Cayucos, Cambria, Gorda, Big Sur (Home of the 6ft wide trees), Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Moss Landing, Santa Cruz, and finally Half Moon Bay. I stayed in Half Moon Bay on Monday night. The Mavericks Surf Break is located off the Prismo Pillar beach in Half Moon Bay.

Many miles of the Pacific Coast Highway is basically on a cliff. The drive north was straight-up scary. At certain parts of the drive, the speed limit would drop to only 15mph. There was a two-lane road, a small guardrail and then a 1000 foot drop. For some reason you feel like you are going to drive over the cliff.

On Tuesday morning, I woke up early and drove to Mavericks. Although the ocean swell was low and there were no real waves at the time, it was still surreal to walk around. Just a few months ago, a professional Big Wave surfer was killed when he drowned in the surf. The area was lined with a few makeshift memorials dedicated to a few surfers who have died trying to surf Mavericks.

After walking around for an hour or so, I fueled up and headed south. About 8 hours later I arrived at Sam’s house in Redondo Beach, CA ready for dinner.

All in all, I drove 844 miles, shot 483 pictures, 4 videos, stayed in two different hotels, ate 3 hamburgers from McDonalds, visited 5 different surf shops, spilled a slurpee at a 7-11 store and listened to everything from the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the PCH to the McKendry Brothers CD in Palo Alto, CA. I recommend this trip.

So the Broncos sign Peyton Manning & Tim Tebow is automatically assumed to be Trade Bait? I don't think so. Peyton is a Great QB, he is also what?, 37 years old with a recent  history of Health problems?

Why would The Broncos not keep Tebow on the Roster to back-up Peyton so he can learn from him? Tebow is under contract with the Team. They are not paying him an outlandish salary, he did well last year taking the Team to a Playoff win and he is a Fan Favorite & a Winner! Give him a couple of years watching Peyton & when Peyton retires...You Got a Learned T. BOW!

• The problem with my scenario is the narcissistic, egotistical, self centered, spoiled brat, Hall of Fame President of The Broncos...A "Kid" named John Elway...

Last gig at the Shanachie Pub for McK Bros. today...

The McKendry Brothers played their last gig at Shanachie Pub in Ambler today. The place was sold to new owners and closes on March 31... we're not sure who bought it. Anyway, today was "Family Day" at the pub and the Hitchhikers made an appearance. Joe Passanante, Carl Weigand, Ray Duffy and Michael played a few songs. Kind of cool to see them all together again. These guys were a major influence for me back in the "D" St. cellar. They used to let me hang out with them and play along, i'll always appreciate that. I hope we have a chance to get the Hikers together again for a recording session of a few Kingston Trio songs, it would be good to have that as a memento.

Big St Patrick's Day Bash today! Can you imagine these guys in 20 years???

They had the Irish Stew, the Mashed potato's, the Cabbage, the meat that goes with the Cabbage (what is that called?). I actually enjoyed the meat & cabbage but could not get Timothy to try it!

If you are like me you don't watch American Idol. I came across this 2011 winner by accident & have told a few people how good he is. I suggested that they You-tube him, I doubt they did. This Kid was 16 when he showed up on National TV...his voice & persona are Amazing! Make sure you check out the many you-tube videos about him. You will not be disappointed...

Vice President Joe Biden addressed 87 wealthy Democrats last night attending a fundraiser at one of the many homes of  Sen. John efF'n  Kerry. As they dined on grass-fed New York strip steaks and white truffle mashed potatos underneath a outdoor tent, Biden criticized Republicans for being out of touch.

“These guys don’t have a sense of the average folks out there,” Biden said according to the pool report, “They don’t know what it means to be middle class.”

87 guests paid a minimum of $10,000-per-couple to attend the dinner.
