I apologize...don't often do this...but this cracked me up!

Paris Hilton is not one to miss a photo op.
Earlier this month Hilton's boyfriend River Viiperi, 21, had an accident on the ski hills in Lake Tahoe that required him to be hauled away by the paramedics and later need 19 stitches, but even that didn't stop Paris from striking a pose.
"Such a scary day on the slopes today," Hilton, 32, wrote on her Pheed account. “After seeing the gash on @RiverViiperi's leg, I almost passed out. I have never seen a cut that deep in my life. He is so brave, I can't even imagine the pain he went through today."
Yes, Hilton was so scared, she decided to pose for a photo while on the back of the paramedics' snowmobile, which was towing her bleeding boyfriend behind in a stretcher.

What a Trip to the Pharmacy!

Kelly & Luke ran into Magic & Shaq while picking up Drugs! Magic & Shaq were not traveling together!

People ask me "How is Courtney doing?"

I can't really answer that question but I can tell you she is now working at the Marina Del Rey Hospital.  Couple of photos I found on-line...looks like a nice area to work in doesn't it?

Help me out here...

This bird is one that I have not seen before. I have gone to my Bird Book that has photos and I cannot figure out what this is...

  • A Fish Crow?
  • A Grackle?
  • A Black billed Magpie?

I have no idea...By the way, the photo was taken from inside my Man Cave. I did not want to startle the bird

This is what Liberals don't get..."Actions Have Consequences..".

LESS SODA, MORE DOUGH: If you order a pizza, you cannot get a large bottle of soda delivered with it. Already, Domino’s locations across the city are doing away with 1 and 2 liter bottles of soda, deliveryman Philippe Daniba says. They’ll sell smaller bottles instead — costing you more money and increasing plastic waste.

Jason Update

Regarding Jerry Buss...He died Monday at 80 after an 18-month struggle with cancer. An invitation-only memorial service was held Thursday, with basketball greats like Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Shaquille O'Neal, Phil Jackson,  Jason McKendry & Kurt Rambis  paying tribute to Buss.

Yes, although things have not gone well for The Lakers since Jason's arrival, he still feels that the team will make the Playoffs and he will eventually earn a RING and have his Palm implanted on Hollywood Blvd!

Meanwhile...he and Courtney are enjoying the Sun Sets...

Home Made Bird Feeders

Drill a number of 1 inch holes in a log & fill them with Skippy Extra Chunky. Birds love it. Problem is, squirrels also love it. We shall see how this works out.

Garlic & Chicken Soup

I was with my Big Sis today. I kissed her Hello and then she showed me how to make Chicken Soup. It was pretty easy. Through the same process you can also make Beef Stew, a Mexican dish or something even more Exotic...I brought a bunch of the chicken soup home & Maureen Gulped it down.

  • Timmy would not try any cause the Soup had spinach in it (go figure)

Anyway, my Big Sis was telling me that she had 2 pieces of Pizza the night before & that unknown to her they had Garlic on them! It was Mike H's birthday bash. She tossed and turned all night/finally got up for good @3AM/went to her basement & re-arranged old paint cans on the shelves! Then vacuumed the kitchen floor.

She blamed her Bizarre behavior on the Garlic. I agreed with her...Garlic does not like my Big Sister nor  does it like Me!
  • Do you like Garlic?
By the way, when I kissed her hello? I smelled Garlic on her breath...

I frequent the local library

When I was in there on Tuesday I asked them if I could donate some videos that I have. Some are standard fare & others' are Blue Ray. They told me that I would have to go to the Township Building and fill out a "back-ground check" form...

  • I told them, "thank you very much"  left, went home and threw the videos in the trash

People send me stuff. 1968 was a tumultuous year. Have you ever been to The Wall in Washington, DC?

The Wall ( Viet Nam )
A little history most people will never know.
Interesting Veterans Statistics off the Vietnam Memorial Wall
There are 58,267 names now listed on that polished black wall, including those added in 2010.
The names are arranged in the order in which they were taken from us by date and within each date the names are alphabetized. It is hard to believe it is 36 years since the last casualties.
The first known casualty was Richard B. Fitzgibbon, of North Weymouth , Mass. Listed by the U.S. Department of Defense as having been killed on June 8, 1956. His name is listed on the Wall with that of his son, Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Richard B. Fitzgibbon III, who was killed on Sept. 7, 1965.
There are three sets of fathers and sons on the Wall.
39,996 on the Wall were just 22 or younger.
8,283 were just 19 years old.
The largest age group, 33,103 were 18 years old.
12 soldiers on the Wall were 17 years old.
5 soldiers on the Wall were 16 years old.
One soldier, PFC Dan Bullock was 15 years old.
997 soldiers were killed on their first day in Vietnam ..
1,448 soldiers were killed on their last day in Vietnam ..
31 sets of brothers are on the Wall.
Thirty one sets of parents lost two of their sons.
54 soldiers attended Thomas Edison High School in Philadelphia . I wonder why so many from one school.
8 Women are on the Wall. Nursing the wounded.
244 soldiers were awarded the Medal of Honor during the Vietnam War; 153 of them are on the Wall.
Beallsville , Ohio with a population of 475 lost 6 of her sons.
West Virginia had the highest casualty rate per capita in the nation. There are 711 West Virginians on the Wall.
The Marines of Morenci - They led some of the scrappiest high school football and basketball teams that the little Arizona copper town of Morenci (pop. 5,058) had ever known and cheered. They enjoyed roaring beer busts. In quieter moments, they rode horses along the Coronado Trail, stalked deer in the Apache National Forest . And in the patriotic camaraderie typical of Morenci's mining families, the nine graduates of Morenci High enlisted as a group in the Marine Corps. Their service began on Independence Day, 1966. Only 3 returned home.
The Buddies of Midvale - LeRoy Tafoya, Jimmy Martinez, Tom Gonzales were all boyhood friends and lived on three consecutive streets in Midvale, Utah on Fifth, Sixth and Seventh avenues. They lived only a few yards apart. They played ball at the adjacent sandlot ball field. And they all went to Vietnam . In a span of 16 dark days in late 1967, all three would be killed. LeRoy was killed on Wednesday, Nov. 22, the fourth anniversary of John F. Ken nedy's assassination. Jimmy died less than 24 hours later on Thanksgiving Day. Tom was shot dead assaulting the enemy on Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
The most casualty deaths for a single day was on January 31, 1968 ~ 245 deaths.
The most casualty deaths for a single month was May 1968 - 2,415 casualties were incurred.
For most Americans who read this they will only see the numbers that the Vietnam War created. To those of us who survived the war, and to the families of those who did not, we see the faces, we feel the pain that these numbers created. We are, until we too pass away, haunted with these numbers, because they were our friends, fathers, husbands, wives, sons and daughters. There are no noble wars, just noble warriors.

And you thought Sharks were scary!

The loveable little Seal in action...

"In more than 2,000 expeditions working with sharks over the last 21 years, this is the only time I have ever seen a seal kill several sharks and I can find no record of such an event happening elsewhere." Chris Fallows said.

Two Super Bowl questions... Who was Joe Flacco's coach at Pittsburgh & what is Tyler Plako doing now?

Joe Flocco vs West Chester University - 2007

In 2003, Flacco was redshirted as a freshman for a team that went 8-5.
In 2004, he was the backup quarterback finding limited playing time behind starter Tyler Palko. He only saw action in three games against Ohio UniversityUniversity of Nebraska, and theUniversity of South Florida. He finished the season with one completion for 11 yards.
