This is a Big Deal! Moving Day is Traumatic...

In my time I have been a Mover but I have never Hired Movers. I remember Dan Ragan & I moving 50 refrigerators into a new apartment complex on a Saturday! We were dying, but Laughing! I think we made $60.00 a piece for the 14 hour day. And...they had no elevators!

• My question is...do I Tip the Movers?
• Should I accompany them on the ride to Allentown, my new residence? Or...
• ...do they have GPS?

Meanwhile, I have Cleaning People coming in on Sunday to clean the place

• Do I tip the cleaning people?
• Should I be there while their cleaning?
• Can I ask them to do the windows?

I went to see Dick Dale last night...

Last nigth I went to see Dick Dale play at the Sellersville Theater. It was awesome. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. The Sellersville Theater holds only 350 people and it was very loud. I had front row seats and used ear plugs. Dick Dale played guitar, harmonica, bass and drums. At one point he played the bass with drum sticks. It was a great show. Dick Dale is touring the country with his 19 year old son playing drums. How cool is that? They reminded me of Eddie and Chris.

Air Quality cancels Little League??? In Sunny Southern California? Obviously never heard of Bridesburg, Feltonville, South Philly Sunoco Refinery, Nicetown, Rohm & Hass, PECO, PTC, etal!

• New one to me...never heard of a Saturday morning Little League function being cancelled because of "air quality"

Jason got hold of a DVD that features the "Christmas Cat" @ the Phila Art Museum. I am sure that many of you yutes have seen this DVD while being diaper trained,  but were not savvy enough to appreciate the Humor. Film was done about 25 years ago.

Out of the BLUE I get a mailing that tells me to show up for  an "Aorta/AAA Ultrasound screening". I show up, they do the 20 minute screening (it was uncomfortable) Tech says it looked good, but wait for the Official word from your Doc.

• Reason I bring this up? Because I had to Fast for 14 hours before the Test... Then! They gave me a Ticket for a Free Meal in the VA Cafeteria...
• Also want to let you know that some of your tax money is well appreciated

Playing Hurt

Throughout the sports world there are stories of participants playing hurt. A new story came to us recently. Anna was thrown off her horse last Friday during a practice session. She went full summersalt and landed on her back and experience some pain. On Saturday she went with the Endicott Equestrian Team to their show in Middlebury, VT and rode in the show. She took 1st place in her class. As the day went on she was hurting and Sunday night went to the hospital emergency room where she had xrays. Turns out she has a fractured bone in her back at something called T-12. She will be fine but she is pretty limited in what she can do. Don't know aboout you but I can't imagine bouncing up and down on a horse with a fractured bone in my back... ouch!

So... I just called & QUIT Comcast (10/04/2010/2011)

• They called back (RoBo call) & asked why I Quit! I said 

"Cause I'm moving to Lancaster!!!"

• I need to return my 2 "Boxes" to make it Official
• If the Phils continue on I may show up in your Living room @ any time

And finally, tomorrow would have been Judith Ann's 57th birthday...

October 3, I was 9 years old when Paul and Alyce tied the knot. One of my small memories from that day was watching the band play at the reception. I think it was the first time I had ever seen real musicians playing live. Happy Anniversary to you both and congratulations on your staying power!
