Interview with Paul & Jane after returning from India

This photo is from the press conference they gave after arriving at Heathrow Airport on the morning of March 26.

Reporter: One Indian MP accused the camp where you stayed of being an espionage centre, and you, in fact, as being a spy for the West.
Paul: Yes, it’s true. Yes, we are spies. The four of us are spies. Actually, I’m a reporter and I joined The Beatles for that very reason. The story is out next week in a paper which shall be nameless.

All of The Beatles had a truly great sense of humor...

She may be gone from the Tournament tomorrow so I wanted you to meet her...

Kim Mulkey coaches LSU. LSU is playing in
March Madness & could make the Final Four.

Mulkey is well known for her "terrible" sense of fashion. She once wore a snakeskin print to a game against Connecticut; her wardrobe choices have generated a multitude of strong responses online...

LSU will Play Miami on Sunday @ 6PM.

I'm thinking LSU will win.

Should be fun TV.

How about if we all take a TimeOut sometime today to say a prayer that Xavier U wins the

NCAA Tournament? Xavier vs Texas Friday night!

Not just because I would win "bragging rights"
& about $700! But because they have never won before.

Plus, Xavier is located in Cincinnati &
we all love Cincinnati...

Parking in Manhattan

A guy from Virginia, his wife & their daughter arrive in Manhattan. They have a place to stay, but can't find a place to park! The guy is driving a 'very expensive vehicle' (vev).

The guy finds a Bank that provides valet parking.
He walks into the Bank & requests a $10,000 loan.

He offers his 'vev' as collateral for the loan & is given a check for $10,000.

The guy, the wife & the daughter spend a week in Manhattan.

When leaving, the guy returns to the Bank to pay off his loan & get his 'vev'.
He gives the Bank $10,000 to pay off the loan, plus $56.78 in interest.

THE BANKER said,

We researched you. You are a wealthy guy. Why would you come here to borrow $10,000?

The guy said, where else are you gonna park in Manhattan for a week for $56.78?

A favorite Eddie Cover of mine...

Don't let the glasses fool you
Stand beside me when you measure my size
Don't let false estimations rule you
Some evening you might come to realise

I've been a wizard since my childhood
And I have earned some respect for my art
I rule the spirits that live in the wildwood
And every evening I talk to the stars

I stand tall with the unseen powers
So why should I be scared of you ?
I could fill your house with flowers
I could poison all your mirrors. too

I've been a wizard since my childhood
And I have earned some respect for my art
I rule the spirits that live in the wildwood
And every evening I talk to the stars

(And I say...)

(Furthermore...)

I know we all have sisters and brothers
But don't you take me to be just one more
I know that you've dealt this way with many others
But here I come to try and even out the score

Well now, I really I think that you should have guessed by now
That I'm a demon in disguise
You're lust a little bit behind the rest somehow
I mean you miss all the hints that show the truth to the wise

You know you shouldn't let the glasses fool you
Stand beside me when you measure my size
Don't let false estimations rule you
Some evening you might come and realise
I am a demon in disguise

U.S. to end COVID testing requirement on travelers from China

 https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-end-covid-testing-requirement-012628422.html

But testing will still apply for this guy!

The covid insanity is scheduled to end in May.

COVID-19 emergency declarations in the U.S. are set to expire in May.

The COVID-19 vaccination requirement “is still in place, and we expect everyone to abide by our country’s rule whether as a participant or a spectator,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday.

We will see.

Nominee

I have seen two of them. 'All Quiet on the Western Front' &

'The Banshees of Inisherin'. I enjoyed them both. But I did not understand

point/message of The Banshees. Just enjoyed the actors & the scenery...

"people I know" have seen Elvis & Top Gun: Maverick & enjoyed those pictures.

Question:

Why does The Academy call it Best Picture?

The awarding body is called the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the award is “Best [Motion] Picture,” because using the formal term gives the industry an air of seriousness—conveying a sense that it's not just churning out mass entertainment, but (on its good days, at least) producing art.
