I am happy for Victorino...the Flyin' Hawaiian...
Shane Victorino necessitated the police presence after the 3rd inning with a bases-clearing double off the Green Monster as the Home crowd went nuts & the Red Sox win the World Series!
The Boston Police Chief sent his cops out as a show of force after Victorino doubled off the left field Green Monster with the bases loaded. It was only the 3rd inning so they didn't have to send out the Mounted Police...a la Frank Rizzo...

I did not know about this guy. But since I watch Football with a guy that used to push people around...and makes me focus on Linemen...
For the last three years, Mathis has been rated the best left guard and among the best linemen in the NFL by the site's amateur evaluators.

and he gets away with it!
The Boston Red Sox left-hander said before Game 2 on Thursday night that ''I can honestly tell you that all I use is rosin. So, it's obviously frustrating that after a night like last night, we should be having fun and running around with some energy today and I've got to stand here and answer questions about it.''
Well this is nice. I made a claim on the Unclaimed Property web site
Your claim has been approved by Treasury and submitted for payment. You can expect to receive your check in approximately 10 business days.
If you have any questions, please call Treasury’s Bureau of Unclaimed Property at 1-800-222-2046.

Strange as it may seem...it hurts...
Lost a blue fish today. It had been struggling for days. Not eating, alone in the grass...etc. Very sad. Need to get more Fish. I am down to 12. Rule of thumb in the aquariam world..." you can have one fish for every gallon your tank contains" assuming you keep your individual fish under 2 inches.
I have a 37 gallon tank. That means I can comfortably handle 26 Fish or more! I don't want to overload.
So, anyway...Anybody out there want to "Donate" a fish to The Pea's Fish Tank? If so, just make sure you choose "Community Fish" when you visit your local Pet Store.
Put a Fish in the Pea Fish Tank & we will send you weekly photos on how your Fish is doing....
and the Blair (other) Grand Pop saga continues...
I'm sure you all saw Blair's "other grand pop" on the steps in the Rose Garden standing behind President Obama during his appearance on Monday. Walt was there because he is a Democrat that owns a company & has said the ACA (Obamacare) has been a good thing for his employees.
Well, Sean Hannity has asked Walt to appear on his show and be interviewed. Walt is considering his response. Walt's wife says "no way", Walt's Mom says, "go for it!"
I told Walt I would go with him and help him out.
by the way, the Media did track down Walt's story & this is what the Media reported...
Walt Rowen, Small Business Owner
Walt Rowen is the owner of the Susquehanna Glass Company, a small business in Columbia, Pennsylvania started by Rowen’s grandfather in 1910. The company, which has grown to 35 full-time employees, has benefitted from the ACA’s Medical Loss Ratio provision which requires at least 80 percent of small groups’ premium dollars be spent on patient care instead of administrative costs. A few years ago Rowen was quoted a 130 percent increase to his premiums — this year his premiums increased by only 7 percent.

Tailgating & the Titanic
On Sunday before the Eagles game I was tailgating with some guys in our driveway on Blossom Hill. I mentioned to them that on Saturday from 1PM to 5:30PM TBS was showing the Titanic.
the guys laughed at me! Being on the defensive I told "the guys" I didn't watch it all, I had already seen it, but it was interesting to look at the 16 year old graphics & Special Effects in the movie & realize they look "dated". They looked at me like I had THREE heads! I said to them "Titanic is the largest grossing movie of all time! Have you seen it?"
the guys said they haven't seen it...fly Eagles fly...!@#$%^&..!

Coincidence???
The above video was created by Eddie Blaze. Great job. Freaks me out... This is Jason Pea talking now. This entire Puckett Brothers / Mississippi Video is surreal.
Random Question for You: Where were you on October 10th, 1983?
According to the Puckett Brothers video (around 0:37 sec), it was 30 years ago, October 10th, 1983 when they were abducted. That's exactly 30 years and a day ago! That is crazy! I was 5 years old. Kid Casino was knocking people out. The Whitpain Whittler was whittling. Christopher, Anna, Keelan, etc were not even born yet. T-Shirt Tim had not even moved to Nebraska. The 76ers had just won the NBA Championship over my current employer, the LA Lakers... Just flat out weird.
What are the odds this Mississippi Pucket Brothers story gets surfaced on the GP Blog 30 years later? I'm telling you, they are out there. The aliens are messing with us. We are not alone. There is another dimension out there. Our Pucketts and these "Mississippi Pucketts" probably have the same type of probes inserted in them.
Anyway, for the 30th Anniversary I wanted to make some T-Shirts up. We need to get these printed up! Slim Pickens, the artwork is on the way...

Acorns and winter weather...
Timmy and Maureen's neighbor Maggie says she collects acorns as a form of exercise. She says she is really getting a work out so far this season. Maggie claims that the more acorns you see on the ground means that the more harsh the winter will be... I notice a whole lot more nuts on the ground this year than were on the ground this time last year. What do you think?
A - The white worms are immature larvae of a type of nut weevil. The larvae are legless and curled into the shape of a "C."
Many nut weevils feed on acorns. Adult females chew holes in immature nuts with their long slender snouts so they have a place to lay eggs. The larvae hatch and feed for several weeks inside the acorns. Eventually, the acorns drop. The weevil larvae move out soon after the nuts are on the ground. They burrow into the soil where they eventually pupate. These weevils are present every year, but their numbers vary

And right after a good Eagles Win the local media starts!
PHILLY.com asked... "Do the EAGLES now have a QB controversy?" Cause Foles fills in for Vick when Vick Pops a Hammy & Foles throws 2 TD's vs the worst defense (statistically) in the NFL.
- The Pea's take: Vick popped his Hamstring. That hurts. I have done it twice
- It takes quite a while to recover from a Popped Hammy. quite a while...
So...want to ask me about the two times I Popped a Hammy? No? well I'll tell you any way!
- First time was a Touch Football game organized by Joe Gavin @ Central High. I was crossing over the middle on a "fly route" and it felt like 2 Rubber Bands snapped!
- Second time I was water skiing, trying to show off in front of my sons. I got up, pulled the Hammy and waived & smiled at them. They cheered, I cried
- A photo of a popped Hammy... Do Eagles have a QB controversy?DEagles have a QB controversy?Do Eagles have a QB c

After Roxborough...this is not a Post for everyone. You may not want to go here. So be forewarned...Viewer discretion is advised...
Of all the material things I left behind or gave away in my move to Blossom Hill ( and I think of this 'cause I am coming up on my 2nd Anniversary) and I left behind things like...Beach Chairs, Vertical Blinds, a shower curtain. Area rugs, rakes, drapes, a lawn spreader, silver ware (they were stolen), carpenter horses, clowns, paintings, embroideries,....et al.
The thing I miss the most is the Corning Ware that we had! I never realized how good & versatile that Corning Ware stuff is!
I believe I boxed it up & tossed into the Domino Lane Dump. Ugh!
