I was not aware of this new device.

Poppy tells me he was in a Mens room with Ronan and after washing their hands...
Poppy looked around and saw this toaster on the wall.

Ronan walks up to the toaster and puts his hands in it.

Poppy almost loses it 'til he realizes it's a Hand Dryer.
Poppy tries to look calm...Ronan senses Poppy's
discomfort & says,
"All the Brew Pubs have them Poppy!"
Now I have to Google "brew pubs"

Because me & TJ went for a ride along the Eastern Shore of Maryland, my car now shows over 10,000 miles on the speedometer!

We drove to Cape Charles, Va to visit Molly, Joe,
Faith, Fiona, Dierdra & Nora.
(we were invited)

No lifeguards, no beach tags, no early morning coffee or pancake place available !.!.!
but the bait & tackle shop was open.

TJ & I rode beach cruisers for about 10 (coulda been)20 miles,
and there was no car traffic.

One can buy a house there for $150,000 that is 2 blocks from the beach.
Golf carts are the preferred mode of transportation.

A very nice place.
Oh yea...and also no boardwalk...

How did they do that?

People talk about Nixon opening up Trade with China & that is true. But, the Chinese
have been here for a very long time. How many Americans do you think own flower
shops in China? Or dry cleaners?

Anyway, I bought a new watch today. It glows in the dark, it can time the races I don't run
within a milasecond and it has the date, day & month displayed & a velcro band.

It was made in China & it cost me
$10.88. How did they do that?

And people built a railroad from East coast to West coast..
How did they do that?

The Cavada boys & the Greenwood Dairies

the 4 of them (along w/ their Dad) visited an ice cream store @ the shore.

Probably cost their Dad about $40.00 or so...

Did they get a pin on badge? I bet not.

I remember Paul taking us to a place near Langhorn
for a "Pigs Dinner"

The Dinner consisted of ice cream... and me, Michael,
Jimmy McVeigh and some kid named Joe got buttons
with a sharp pin attached
cause we finished the dinner...

and I am thinking now it cost my "future" brother-in -law about $9.47 @ the time.

But we did tell our Sis that we really liked him...

So...it has been almost a Month since the Announcement and people want to know...

Has a date been set?

Where will the wedding be held?

Who will be the Bridesmaids?

Who will be the Best Man?

Will The McKendry Brothers be playing at the wedding
or will they have a DJ?

Will it be a sit down or Buffet?

Will Chris wear a tuxedo?
will eddie?

What is their color scheme
and finally...

Where are they Registered?

(can you tell I live among females?)

A Friday night update...

Paddy & Katie returned from Dallas.
They cook healthy stuff on the stove.

And my place smells like onions!
vadellion...I am told...???

I spent a Fortune shopping @ ALDI's today
Returned home @ 4PM & realized I bought nothing to eat without having to "cook" stuff.
Asked Timmy if he had any bread so I could make a sandwhich
and he said..."we no longer eat bread Pea"...
Meanwhile...

I learn the Dornisch's are running rampant
on the Beach in Sea Isle

happy hour on the deck
and finally I find out that my brother-in-law wears Lime!

what a week as I observe from the sidelines...

Today is Andy's 50th birthday & Timmy made some shirts to celebrate the occasion

The Semisch's now live in/near Richmond Virginia. Not sure if they are flying the Rebel Flag.

The front of the shirt.... Of course that would be Dad in the middle,
and left to right we have Teagan, Drew, Timmy and Rory

and here is the back of the shirt.

I captured Jason & Courtney on Face Time tonight. I say that because not a lot of people know how to take a photo from your computer of a live screen shot

while I was playing spades.
And the cute couple were wearing matching T shirts
from Fred's Tavern in Avalon.

Are they a cute couple or what!

Meanwhile, Brynn was in the play pen & 1st time
I saw her stand up...

Face Time is good...talked to Amanda last night
and I think she still has no clue who I am.

Willie Nelson - 1997 - Funny How Time Slips Away

Finished the Willie Nelson autobiography
loaned to me by Eddie.
Did you know that Willie is in his 80's, his
sister is a great pianist, he loves weed and he was a womanizer?

Tire Chains - Simple Installation ...if you live near Snow you need to know the benefits of tire chains...

Even the expert chain installer in the video is breathing heavy! I remember about 1962 & I was helping my Dad put chains on...we put em on the same way this guy put them on in 2015! We also put them on the same way in
'63/'64/'65/'66 and I was out of there in '67...

Hey! You Engineers out there! Can't you people come up with something better and easier than this humping, struggling, heavy breathing "simple installer" has shown us?

Snow chains have been around for a hundred years & you Engineers have done not a thing to make
them easier to install. Instead you focus on making it easier to open soup cans, bottles, plastic hot dog wrappers, WAWA salad packets, orange juice containers, doors, elevators, airplanes, Amazon boxes, et al!

$39.99 per tire...that's the July price @ Pep Boys

I live on Blossom Hill...a very steep hill. I will be purchasing a set of chains in the Fall. And should
I die of a heart attack simply installing The Chains before a snow storm...all you Engineers will be sued for misfeasance.

During the winter of '58 thru '60 Michael Heebner rode his bike to St Ambrose through every snow storm with not chains or rope on his tires, but there was something there, pulling him up the C street Hill...he never told us what the material was. I think they used it on the Space Shuttle.

Michael Heebner was very smart. You engineers are smarter than Michael was in 1958

He was in 6th grade!! Give us an easier way to install tire chains...

Interesting Map for a USA road trip

Michigan does not look that far away on the Map & looks
relatively inexpensive. LOL...
I have always had a desire to see some of those thousand Lakes,

and the Soo Locks in operation

and that really big superior lake.
Gotta make it there & back by the end
of September
'cause it can get nasty weather after that.

An Invitation

We are thinking Poppy Pool Party here. We can celebrate the fact that Poppy is now 65
and "on the Dole". Or, we can celebrate the fact that we are still here, we have great kids & grandkids
and Poppy has a pool! and is on the Dole...

We were thinking Saturday, August 22?
The only Saturday that is not good for Poppy is the 15th.

The diving board awaits Divers

Chris and Kendra Got Engaged!

You all probably know that Chris and Kendra got engaged this past week (July 7, Ringo's birthday).
The premise was that they were on a motorcycle ride and there was a "problem" with the engine.

Chris had pre-arranged for the location and his photographer/co-worker to be hiding across the street to capture the moment. Here are some pics.

henceforth geraldpea comments & questions...when you Zoom in that looks like a
"cluster" of diamonds & if I were in the market that is a ring
I would buy...classy looking

Just curious...what is the price range on a
Clustered Diamond Engagement Ring nowadays...
500 to 900 dollars?
