Dad Advice...

We used to do skits for our mother's sisters & the one with the rich husband!  They (she) would
hand us a nickel, dime or sometimes a quarter!

Eventually, Michael & Eddie got pretty good at it & our Dad advised them that after they open
their Act with The Kingston Trio & The Brothers' Four stuff, they should Hit their audience with some Mills Brothers!

If you have seen Michael & Eddie perform over their many years together you
may have heard some of their Mills Brothers sounds...rooted in 'Dad advice'.

No doubt about it...

PAYDAY is the best...

It was a 70 minute acceptance speech from President Trump...

I watched some of the after speech commentary on MSNBC,

Joy Reid did not like it...

The final night of the Republican National Convention completely sent MSNBC’s Joy Reid over the edge. The host melted down after Donald Trump closed out night four of the RNC Convention, fuming that the address was a “repugnant crime”  possibly heralding the “end of America.”
No invective was too much for Reid as she snarled: “All I have to say is as I'm watching this, I'm thinking Fidel Castro, Julius Caesar, Mobutu Sese Seko. That was not an American President giving an acceptance speech.”
Castro

Caesar

Mobutu Sese Seko

me thinks Joy may need a "time out"

Oh well...

Bette Midler has Trump Derangement Syndrom & a Twitter Addiction...

Bette Midler addressed her controversial tweets about First Lady Melania Trump on Wednesday.
Midler took aim at President Donald Trump's wife during the second night of the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.
While live tweeting the First Lady’s speech, the 74-year-old entertainer called Melania an “illegal alien” who “can’t speak English” (among other jabs). While Midler was initially unapologetic, it appears she had a change of heart.
“I was wrong to make fun of her accent. America is made up people who speak with all kinds of accents, and they are all welcomed always,” the Hocus Pocus star tweeted on Wednesday.

But that's not all Bette said or tweeted about
our Fist Lady...

CategorySustained WindsTypes of Damage Due to Hurricane Winds
174-95 mph
64-82 kt
119-153 km/h
Very dangerous winds will produce some damage: Well-constructed frame homes could have damage to roof, shingles, vinyl siding and gutters. Large branches of trees will snap and shallowly rooted trees may be toppled. Extensive damage to power lines and poles likely will result in power outages that could last a few to several days.

This is some stuff I have read about the Post Office takeover by Trump & that Louis DeJoy guy...

Only time I complained about the Post Office was when I moved to Blossom Hill nine years ago & asked,
"where are all the mail boxes?"

I had come from Roxborough, Phila where they had a blue mail box on every other block.

Louis actually knows Logistics?

So, he is not someone that got the job because he sent the Trump campaign a lot of money?
It did put him on the map though...
Maybe he just thought he liked what Trump was doing?

I look at this stuff in awe...

...think about those people that figured out how to fly a plane. To communicate via radio signals.
Flaps up/flaps down. The air controllers. The coordination necessary to take us where we want to go.

It happens thousands of times a day all over the world & we don't give it a thought.

Plus! A plane wash when you least expect it!

Amazing stuff...calm and cool operation all around...!

Is it feasible that there will be a covid-19 vaccine anytime soon?

I looked some stuff up... in their history, the FDA has approved 24 vaccines that combat a myriad of viruses. Look (click) at this:

Of those 24, the vaccine that got approval the fastest was the vaccine for the mumps. And that took four years!

So, what do you think?

Should we all keep masking up & distancing
'til who knows when? Or what?

Does this former Green Beret look like a Russian spy, or....

...does this guy look like a Russian spy?

Federal prosecutors have charged a former army green beret with spying for Russia. A 45-year-old Peter Debbins of Gainesville Virginia is accused of working with Moscow as far back as 1996. Prosecutors say he periodically met Russian intelligence and was even assigned a code name by Russian agents. Authorities say Debbins was arrested today.

They also caught another spy earlier this week!
Now , does this guy look like a Chinese spy, or...
does this guy look like a spy for China?

How many spys did Obama ever catch in one week?

LOL!

Pondering...

WE HAVE A PROBLEM: This is a well written and thought out article written by a 26 yr old college student by the name of Alyssa Ahlgren, who's in grad school for her MBA. What a GREAT perspecitve...
My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.
I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.
Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!
Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.
People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague." #pleaseshare

In the beginning...

This is how Joe Biden began his Political life...

1972 United States Senate election in Delaware
PartyCandidateVotes%
DemocraticJoe Biden116,00650.5%
RepublicanJ. Caleb Boggs (incumbent)112,84449.1%
AmericanHenry Majka8030.4%
ProhibitionHerbert B. Wood1750.1%
It was 1972. He was 29, when he was sworn in as a US Senator he had turned 30.

This is Joe in 1972.

This is Joe & his first wife that died in a car accident
six weeks after Joe won the election.

Joe has been with us all for a very long time.

Like, Chuck Schumer joined The House 8 years after Joe!

And Joe had been a Senator for 15 years when Nancy joined The House of Representatives in 1987.

Chuck & Nancy have accomplished stuff...

Obama selected Joe as his VP.
Only Obama knows why...

So I'm just wondering why Joe's campaign
is blaming President Trump for whatever
he thinks is wrong with the USA Today?

Despite the china virus & these friggin' masks,
which I hate, I think President Trump has done a pretty good job  for the past 3+years he has been in office.

I mean, Joe has been around since 1972!
Is he really gonna solve/correct/do anything new?

I just don't see it. He has had 48 years to come up with something amazing & I don't know what he has really done amazingly since 1972.

And I follow this stuff so you don't have to!

you are welcome...

Oh boy! This is something different...
