Another blog diversion from the misery of today...

How about the Topic of The History of Mortgage Rates form 1972 'til Today?

http://www.fedprimerate.com/mortgage_rates.htm

does that make you guys feel better?

A respite from the last five days & I see Toni bought herself a new Martin...

Sunday mornings with Reina del Cid...

A whoosh sound & then a tree falling with a thud...

...that's how Jason described what he heard after the Eagles game. Courtney & Brynn were out
of the House. Grandmom was in the basement doing her Jane Fonda exercises & Jason was
watching the Post game show.

If you read the attached story Jason was the neighbor that provided the scissors!

Grandmoms front yard tree

Grandmoms front yard

another shot of grandmoms front lawn.
the crashed plane is to the left

the crashed plane, about 50 ft from grandmoms front door!

The plane was a home made thing! there was no fire & the pilot survived.
No body on the ground was hurt...

If one day in your travels you find yourselves South of the Mason Dixon Line & are looking for an Adventure...

The Rowen ladies of North Carolina will challenge you to a Mud Race! If you're up to it...

you need to bring an Attitude...
weirdness
kisses
and Silliness...

Call ahead! There may be a room available at the Fort!

I know a guy who knows guys that know this guy...

The guy I know is still in the same business that this guy used to be in.

And you know what is interesting? This guy tells those guys that the NFL
is the easiest $$$ he has ever made!

He says it is so much easier than what he used to do & the pay is obscene!

Timmy had a good question...

How many of these guys rushing out to carry the 61 yard winning Field Goal kicker knew his name?

NFL Teams change kickers weekly.

What a great moment!

Why I admire Golf & Tennis Pros

Replace the words Smith Barney with Golfers & Tennis Players...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMPu99_Xvjw

They do not belong to a Team. I take that back...they do belong to a Team. But the team they belong to is owned by the golfer or the tennis player. The Professional Golfer or Tennis player is the Franchise. He/She is not a billionaire investor with Partners. They do not own or negotiate w/ the City Council or the State Legislators for a new Stadium, they do not have TV deals. They do not share Profits with other Teams. They do not have Collective Bargaining Agreements.

No "Owner" pays them 1 to 30 million dollars per year.

From what they earn in Prize money & Endorsement Deals they have to pay their Team.
The Good ones make a good living...The Great ones make a whole lot of money.

The ones that excell in obscure Sports don't do too poorly either:
http://www.totalprosports.com/2011/10/14/13-top-salaries-from-obscure-pro-sports/

How much do Golfers & Tennis Players earn in a year?

The PGA:
http://www.espn.com/golf/moneylist

The LPGA:
http://www.golftoday.co.uk/tours/rankings/lpgamoney.html

The Mens Tennis Tour: I'm thinking that means an Association of Tennis Players...
https://nytimes.stats.com/tennis/rankings.asp?tour=ATP&rank=3

And finally we present the Big money winners on the Ladies tennis Tour...
and of course you do know that Serena has not been around for most of this season. For obvious reasons...

Which gave a lot of the women an opportunity to Cash in on some
Big Bucks this Tennis Season!

They call it the WTA I think...

Ooops! I look at the standings & I see that Serena did manage to earn Two plus million this year
before she took a Time Out...

Golf or Tennis is where you should steer your kids.

What's the down side?
If the kid ends up a Doctor, Lawyer, Scientist, Race car driver, College professor,
Insurance salesman, Soldier, Politician, Astronaut, Garbage collector, Sales clerk,
Teacher, Nun or whatever...

At least they will be pretty good at Golf or Tennis!

And will probably get invited places...

I see what you did there Aldi

This month's coffee on the left

July's coffee on the right.

So I called the Aldi Home Office
and asked why the cost increase for coffee?

They blamed it on the Coffee Bean growers that claim they were affected by the Hurricanes that hit the USA the last month. They said, "if the Gas companies can do it why can't we"?

This is a map of the Bean growers countries

Yep, none of them actually got hit by a Major hurricane in the past month.
But what the Heck! If the Gas companies can do it, why not us Bean Growers?

Americans need their Fuel!!!!
