Jason in the studio... "Movin' and Rollin'"

After a day of helping me and Susan move some furniture from Susan's Mom's condo, Jason hit the studio at Oxford Circle. I suggested to him that he could come up with an original song, all he needed was an idea. "Movin' and Rollin'" was the result. This video is a 1 minute preview of the full song. Background vocals feature Gerald Pea. Jason on guitar, lead guitar, lead and background vocals. Is this the start of a solo CD from Jason?

I spent a few hours tonight with Mary & "the girls". ..

"The Kanes" are headed to another get-together at The Shore in June. Mary tells me they have 65 Specially made "T-shirts" with a LOGO, ready to distribute to the Kane attendees...

• Meanwhile, the last Post Posted on this Blog asked if anyone wanted to get together for a get-away in The Poconos...

Not ONE Response...

• Oy vey...I guess we'll save money on "T-shirts" And we won't have to come up with a clever LOGO!

Judy Ann's brother & his wife Caroline own a home in the Poconos, it's a really nice place. They have asked if I would like to go there with my brother's. I am going to take them up on their offer. I'm thinking of the week of June 21, a Monday... That happens to be "the First official Day of Summer"! Me & Coco will stay til Friday...anybody else want to go ?

• you can show up for one night or for all 4 nights
• we could play music loud (it is a single home)
• we could play Chess (anybody other than me play chess?)
• we could play Board Games (anybody other than me play Board Games?)
• we could play cards (anybody other than me....?)

We could hunt for Bears, sun tan at the Lake, get Drunk, pick up Chicks, walk in the Woods, Bowl, read books, argue, eat stuff, wax our cars, etc...

• Sounds like Fun to me...

I do have a "conditioned upon"...I have not yet cleared the dates with Jimmy & Caroline. I wanted to get some Feedback first.

There will be NO Bowling Birthday Party for TJ's 60th...

"The Girls" have a Wedding Shower to attend on that day for Jim Meehan's daughter. I just hope I can find the receipt for my Bowling shoes so I can return them to "Richard's " Sporting Goods Store!

Fresh & Clean as All Outdoors !!!

A few years ago my Dermatologist suggested that I shouldn't shower every day, because of my sensitive skin. I have taken his advice and my skin is still DRY & I start smelling after 4 days without a Shower...! Now, Coco is another story altogether...

• She is 12.5 years old now and Stinks to the High Heavens!
• She hates to be bathed...
• Has probably had 4 Baths in her life!

And now it is time for another one! This apartment is really smelling of Dog Stench...

• Thus, I am looking for a Dog Handler to Handle Coco while I pour some Ivory Liquid on her in the back yard and Hose Her Down!

Lots to talk about on this Saturday, 5/22/10 !

Sister Alyce visited today, I actually had a One on One with her! We dined at Applebees & talked back and forth. Sisters are Great! Brothers are sometimes not so Great, conversationally speaking...

• I had to leave at 6:15 PM for a College Graduation Party
• That means I had to leave Sis with Coco...ONE ON ONE !

Paul was at a LaSalle Alumni Function that I was not invited to...even though I am a LaSalle Alumnus...I guess I don't have the "Donation Bucks" that Dutch has, ergo, I am not Invited...

• Be that as it may...I went to the Graduation Party of one of Kevin's daughters and had a nice time
• We talked at the Party about Aunt Alyce (who is not a dog person by nature) & how she & Coco would get along.

I got Home about 9:30 PM, Coco was on the lap of Alyce, they had taken a walk on "The Ridge" & Sis could not believe how often the Dog stopped to Sniff things! (I told you she is not a dog person)...

• Anyway, it was a Good Day!

And Mary? Anytime you want to Dog Sit Coco you just let me know...

I was in my local Hardware store today looking for "Pads" for the legs of my 20 year old kitchen chairs. The Pads that prevent the chairs from scraping the floor. I even brought a Sample of the old Pads. I picked off the shelf what I thought would suffice. I took it to the Hardware Store Genius Counter (a little iMac sarcasm there) and asked the Genius behind the counter if I had a Match.

• the guy had no clue what I was talking about...
• "what you have in that package Pal are Gliders, they wrap around the legs of your chair."
• he went on to say..."what you have from your old chair is something I never seen before"

What I had from the old chairs were Pads that were inserted"into" the leg of the chair, the new ones "wrap around" the leg of the chair. So I asked the Genius if he thought that a 1 and a quarter inch wrap around would fit on the outside diameter of my chair leg...

• his response..."I never seen pads inserted into the leg, we only have wrap-a-rounds"

So I asked him this question, which I am asking you...is this too sarcastic?

• I asked, "Do you wake up stupid? Or, do you wake up normal and get more stupid as the day goes by"?

Like a lot of people; Hardware Store people, Mechanics, Car Sales People, Plumbers, Electricians, Lawn Mowers, Bankers, Dentists & Doctors...they think we are all idiots! I did buy the wrap-around pads for one chair and they fit fine. I will be back to the Hardware Store tomorrow to buy pads for the other three chairs...
