One cannot go wrong with McDonald's!

On the border of California and Arizona
is Needles about 3 hours away from The Grand Canyon.

Needles was named after "The Needles", a group of pinnacles, mountain peaks in the Mohave Mountains on the Arizona side of the river to the south of the city. The large Mohave Native American community shares the nearby Fort Mojave Indian Reservation and the town. Needles is a gateway to the Mojave National Preserve.

Needles is also home to the most disguting Fast Food restaurant I ever visited!

It was a Carl's, Jr

Me & TJ had a very good experience @ Carl's in Utah.
This one was so bad I could not finish my burger!
Tossed it away after 2 bites.

I just tried to contact Carl's Home Office & they would not take my complaint because I did not have a receipt & did not know the street address of the restaurant!

Some more photos

Black Dragon Canyon in Utah...
we have spotted neither one Black nor one Dragon yet!

Route 66 was a theme from Calif to Tennessee!
Michael bought a souvenir!

We drive the way Jack taught us!

Fish Tank color scheme has changed

The 3 year old, 7inch Sucker Fish has been flushed.
I need to shop for a new algae sucker...

Maeve did a good job of tending the Tank while I was gone.

Looks like a piece of Art, right?

Michael insisted that we go to Griffith Park

I was driving so I took no photos

There is an Observatory on top of the very high hill.

I asked Michael, 'why are we going here'?
Traffic was horrible...

Michael said James Dean & Sal Mineo had a
knife fight at the Observatory in the Movie
Rebel Without a Cause!
 Hollywood Michael!

Love it!

Nashville Cats - Lovin' Spoonful...it is good to have driven through part of Nashville...

We met this guy just outside of Nashville. He did give us good advice
such as Exit @ Broadway where the Bars are and the Music is loud & very, very good. And he did invite us to his home for the night. A very friendly guy!

We later learned that he was a Major League Manure Tosser!
Glad we met him though... he added to the aura...

A few Grand Canyon photos

Michael & Timmy were awed by the View as I was!

The Colorado River created the Grand Canyon

It took billions of years & the river still flows

Ironically, you cannot see the River from the top.

when you walk the rim the perception/view changes
in just a few meters/clicks/kilometers/yards.

it is a place you should visit

Looking for Lunch

and happy we did not get on the Tour Bus!
