In reference to the 2025 Moon Launch by Russia (DUH?!?)...is Sattelite Radio worth it?

Susan uses it in her car. $10 a month. Makes most sense for people who work (or live) in their car. Any kind of music is available. News, weather, sports...all there. How-some-ever, XM carries Major League Baseball. I think Serius carries NFL. You do get interference when you drive under heavy trees and tunnels, can be annoying. My vote is get an iPod and a hook-up for your car. Using iTunes, you can download the music you like for .99 a song. You can load your own music (from CDs) into the iPod. You can also download RSS feeds from any website you like to visit. That means you can download Rush Limbaugh and archive any/every broadcast he's ever done. Blaze
Yo Blaze Gerry may need a few things explained here i.e. XM, iPod, iTune, RSS, ?????? Young guys like us know this stuff but those old heads need some help here. When you do explain it could you print a copy and MAIL it to John so he's in the loop too.
I have a life-time membership to Sirius. I paid $500 and I never have to pay again. I enjoy it in the car or at home. You can log on through the web and listen or you can take your unit from the car and put in a boombox. Sirius and XM are merging. Check out the link. http://money.cnn.com/2007/02/19/news/companies/xm_sirius/index.htm
I hope you invest in my company and purchase a Sirius radio.
Yo! Weirdos. I moved my "unit" from my '82 lincoln into every vehicle I have had since. I just love listening to those 8 tracks of Willy, John Denver and the boys. Of course I had to remove the new fangled crap the manufacturer put into the new cars. Tape players, CD players, GPS thingys... are you kiddin' me? Long live rock and roll. The King rules. By the way, if you need a car radio, let me know. I have about six in my garage. Some even have those CD players.
is a CD player considered a "unit"? I read in my Popular Mechanics Magazine that Mfr installed "units" are actually a turn off for todays car buyers because the "units" capabilities change or are upgraded so frequently. You could buy a new car Today that has lots of "units" and the "units" you bought could be Dinousaurs next month!

Nope! Don't want or need Serius--I'm SERIOUS!! I like peace and quiet. Books aren't noisy.
I agree: The Kite Runner WAS a good read. Quiet, too.
NO WAY I'M EVER TAKING ME & MY UNIT FROM MY CAR AND PUTTING IT IN A BOOMBOX!!!!
YIKES!!!
I thought about using the term "unit". Guess I was wrong when I figured everyone was adults on this blog. LOL
