What's St. Patrick's Day to you?
Are you a "Kiss me I'm Irish" kind of person or are you a stay at home type on St. Patty's Day? I actually don't like to go out and celebrate on the 17th but I do enjoy a little celebration at home with family and friends. The mere mention of green beer disgusts me too. What about you?

How about if we have a major sporting event without Referees, Umpires, Judges or Stewards? I Love that a 65 to one shot did ...

You must not be Irish if you don't like green beer;-) I prefer to stay home with family and friends (if I have any at the time) instead of stand around in an over-crowded bar with people claiming Irish roots.
Since St Patty's day occurs on a Monday this year I will probably not go out. If it were on a Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sunday...I would probably not go out.
I wish I was there for the parade- nothing like celebrating my Irish heritage with a bunch of Puerto Ricans selling me buttons that say "Irish whiskey makes me Frisky" (no lie, I have that button and so does Keelan)

The thought of celebrating St. Patrick's Day always reminds me of Mother: One year, their friends were having a St. Patty's Party. Mother got all dressed up (in something GREEN, I'm sure) and EVEN painted her fingernails. They didn't make green nail polish back then, so she put green food color into clear polish. Yep! Her nails were green, alright; problem was--the green color DIDN'T COME OFF when she tried to remove the polish!!! The color DYED her nails & it had to WEAR OFF!!! She had a good laugh on herself! Ever since then, I avoid green nail polish.....
who wrote that last Post? Timmy?
I (Sis) wrote the last post.
...and speaking of St. Patrick's Day: I think I'll stay home this year (unless I have to go to Scranton for the "triples") and bake myself a nice, hot, full-of-raisins SODA BREAD! Eat your hearts out.

Dear amck-d;
If you go to Scranton please drop me off in Hazleton. They have a great Irish Wake in one of the Bars up there. This guy lies in a coffin and you have the chance to make him laugh. If you succeed, the bar owner buys a round!! Truly a great time. Give my regards to the triplets. I'll see them at Easter.
Best St. Paddy's day I ever had was two years ago. My boss and I were up in North Jersey for a seminar. Just as we were walking in at 8:00 am, he decides we would be better served going to Manhattan for the parade. We started a pub crawl that lasted all day. Slim was calling in tips on which bars we should hit.
