I am watching the Womens College World Series on ESPN...

Excuse me, a pop foul between Home plate and first Base, AND no-one caught it ! I truly believe (even at our age) my brothers' and I, along with Brother Paul, and a few Volunteers would "kick Butt" vs these Women softball Players ! We would have no Pitcher that can match their pitchers...but we would "slow pitch them to defeat " !

Maybe we could get on ESPN, ala Bobby Riggs ???

Excuse me... ESPN was not around when Bobby Riggs "went in the tank" against Billie Jean King. He was forever BANNED at the downtown athletic club (Home of the Heisman Trophy) because he lost to a girl. At that time the D.A.C. did not allow girl members!! I believe the match was shown on the Disney Channel as good family fun.

I'm surprised ESPN brodcasted a "Girls" event. It is cute how they cheer for eachother.

did you notice how the teams would meet together just outside their dugout at the end of each inning?? Maybe they were comparing notes on the cute guys in the stands, or checking each other's hair?

Not so fast there my macho friend. I was watching the other day when Louisianna Lafayette beat # 1 Florida I believe. The freshman pitcher for LA. threw 194 pitches in 8 innings. They won in extra innings thus 8 innings. She was smokin' it in the 8th too.

What's the origin of "inning" Never heard it used in anything other than baseball. Abner musta made it up.
