I'll bet a lot of those "fallen heroes" would like to have been in the Audience, or anywhere... for that matter...

Cut him some slack. He was tired after liberating a concentration camp while ducking sniper fire from the Shias. Or was it the Sunnis?
As phony as the day is long. If it doesn't come from your heart you're going to screw it up. Speechwriter should know that.
