Household has been in a downward spiral recently and is in need of Stimulation. So, I decided to buy a new Cadillac!

Of course, I can't afford a new Cadillac, but, I worked out a Deal with the Cadillac dealer.

I simply gave him the Social Security No's. of my Grandchildren and drove out of the showroom!

• I am now Stimulated
• and...my Grandkids will not find out about their debt 'til I'm long gone!

What to look for in a Spouse ...advice from "the pea"...

A number of years ago I advised my Sons' what to look for in a Spouse.

One of the things I mentioned (an important one) was that any potential Spouse should have a Vertical Leap of at least 12 inches.

Now, Sam's Spouse Kelly, jumped only 11.11 inches, but she went on to complete a Half Marathon in New Orleans! So, she was GOLDEN!

Jason, on the other hand, is still searching for that Leaper, and is considering Lowering the Bar to 11 .8 inches!

Do you think that's a good idea?

Do you think YOU can jump 12 inches from a standing start ?

PS...thank goodness they don't listen to my advice...

Remember Your First Real Paycheck?

Remember the first time you ever got a real paycheck or nowadays, paystub, direct deposit you know, John it's ...nevermind John, and looked at what you made and what you got to keep? My eldest grandaughter just received her first real paycheck from her job at the locally owned supermarket, she's the Princess of Produce, the Diva of Bok Choi, the Queen of Tangerine...I digress, and I asked what did you think of "taxes"? "Not happy about that part Poppy." I told her to remember the question because in 50 years, despite what politicians say I believe there will be money available, when she gets her first SS check or Barack Bucks as we'll probably be calling it, she'll vaguely remember the old fat guy telling her that it will be somewhat worth the pain she feels now. Right Uncle Johnny, Aunt Alyce, Aunt Judy Ann and anyone else who went through the same pain many, many, many years ago. P.S. Uncle Paddy, I'll explain what a paycheck is next time I see you.

I bring this up because...

It was the Topic of an earlier Blog. Judith Ann was denied benefits from Social Security back in October. We Appealed...

• Thursday was our Hearing
• Had to go before a Judge that was in full Robe Garb
• I was not allowed in the room
• We were nervous as ****
• Five minutes after JAM and the Attorney entered the room, they Exited!
• The three of us had a conversation in the Hallway-I had no idea what was being said
• Got in our Jeep and I asked "what happened"
• Judith Ann said "WE WON"
• And Amanda is Cheering!

Time to Start Kevin Kolb...

To me, it is obvious Donovan McNabb has nothing left in the tank. It is time to start the Kevin Kolb era. McNabb is too old, not accurate enough, always injured, can't read a defense, has trouble with the two minute offense, has a mother who is too much involved in his career, throws up in the “big” games, too sensitive about being booed on draft day, has no touch on the ball when throwing the short passes, is always laughing, smiles when he throws interceptions, is not the leader of the team, was only good because of T.O., doesn’t run enough, wears red glasses during post-game interview, has his own TV show, was on the cover of the Madden football video game, wears his pants too high and finally, according to one of my father’s hero’s… “Sorry to say this, I don't think he's been that good from the get-go. I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team.”… Rush Limbaugh.
