Paper says "Borel could not control Mine that Bird and he went to the lead too soon". We need ANNA on that steed. She would have controlled him. Me? I'm now looking for a P/T job to get all the $$$ back I lost with this bazooka!
Did yuz no that calvin didn't ride once around the Belmont track before riding saturday on Mine that Bird. No, he spent the week galavanting around the 'big Apple' with his girlfriend. How would he know when to go or hold w/ the horse if neither the horse or the rider ever experienced the 1 1/2 mile distance! Well, they didn't know and had to find out during the race...they found out and "went" too soon. Conclusion, couldn't hold the lead in the final sprint, like Pea trying to go in the mile run...the air and legs just ain't there...ahole.
