I believe it was Michael and myself in my WHITE Impala, with Red interior, making our way to Gallagher's Pub in Avalon. On the radio was a Broadcast of the Moon Landing! We had to circle around side streets to avoid the Flooding. Michael wanted to bring out his Two Man Yellow Raft to cross the Channel separating Sea Isle & Avalon. Being the sensible one...I convinced him otherwise & the WHITE Impala got us there in time for the Show! Neil & Buzz had it easier on their Journey that night than we did!
- WE put two men on the MOON! and
- Two Young Men in Gallagher's Pub!
- Apollo 12 and the WHITE (64) Chevy Impala performed Flawlessly

I think Quiet Country didn't start playing at Gallagher's Pub until the summer of 1970 so, I'm not real confident in your story.
Eddie, you couldn't be more correct! Remember this was the summer Gerry returned from the War...so his memory was foggy...however, I was with Gerry and we went to a house party in Townshend's Inlet, up by the Sea Isle/Avalon Bridge...lot's of ex-seminarians, so you know the party was "kickin'"...and it was there on a crowded little porch, with a tiny b&w TV that we saw the LunarLanding...Very coool too!...Pea, you were close with your facts and we're glad ya made it home safe, if not just a little "foggy"!
Was this before or after the Pea decided to take a "Night-time" leap of faith off the Sea Isle Bridge? That has to be one of the dumbest moves I have ever heard of... Was this also the same weekend Mr. Lucky was seen at the bus stop waiting for a ride back up to New York?

The '64 Impala was definetley WHITE, with Red Interior
I remember the '64 Impala being White but not with red interior. The red interior was in Dad's Galaxy. I remember a picture taken of me in the back seat on the way home from a b-ball game at "Inky". I think the Impala interior was blue.

I have been telling Gerry for years...the car was definitly Blue with White interior, or White with Blue interior...yea...no Red at all..the White Galaxy had Red interior...the blue Tempest wagon had blue outside and inside...the 53 Ford had blue outside and yellow inside, the black plymouth had black and black, the green Dodge Seneca had green and....Paul's chevy had Tan outside and inside...Alyce never had a car!
