The fightin's picked up Lefty in Feb 1972. He was 28 yrs old. He was in the "Bigs" 24 years, 15 of those with the Phils. Career record 329 - 244. His best year of course, was the 1972 season. He won twenty seven (27) games that year and I believe the Phils had the worst record in BB that year. Total wins for the team that year was fifty seven (57). 'Nuf said!
They have to get used to the Fact that his first name is "Cliff"...by the way, his 8 year old Sons' name is Jackson...

i noticed that they referred to him as Lee but give them a Break pea! Lee referred to Sarge as Corporal!
