Among many other things, he Explained why he has not been on the BLOG in the past month or so...It felt like someone Visiting the POPE...I was thinking of using our bathroom as a Confessional Box!...he even called before-hand to ask if I was accepting Visitors...he also gave me a Gift! An Indianapolis Colt Hat??? (
being my younger brother by less than 17 months he knew I always wanted to be a Cowboy & ride Colts & learn quick draw)..Anyway,
I digress... here we Go...
- His computer has been Busted and in the Repair Shop for a month
- Gets it back & it still doesn't work...
- GEEK SQUAD is making a Home visit this Friday...09/04
Meanwhile, all info on his Computer has been LOST!
This is a GOOD Time for the Blog to mention that everyone with a computer should sign up for "CARBONITE"...a back-up system that costs about $50.00 a year that backs up everything you do: Photos/Blogs/Music/etc. CARBONITE does it automatically....and Saves your Stuff! Cooker was ticked off that the Young Techno Geeks in the Family never mentioned this! Mary wants to throw the Computer out the window onto their newly constructed driveway!
- Cooker also went on at length about the over 60 Softball League he now plays in
- Games are Tues & Thurs at 10:30AM
- Very Competitive he says...
He said the Coach doesn't like him (there were 11 players @ the game today and the COOKER did not start!) Had to sit next to the 78 year old coach...being the only player NOT playing!
- I asked if he wanted me to go and talk to the Coach...he said NO! But I think he really wants me to.
Lots more to come from the Cooker when the GEEK Squad fixes his Computer...eg...
- His "Teammates" know Dutch & Stoneman
- They know that Stoneman has Brothers that "play in a Rock & Roll Band"...but none of them have connected Cooker with the Band!
Finally...the Entire League is in "quiet chaos" cause no-one believes that COOKER has reached the Age of 60!!!! People want to see his Driver License!!!
- ONE CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP !
and i didn't even mention the Purple bruise he showed on his inner thigh (near the groin area) from a "Too Hot to Handle" ground ball! That's why we called The Cooker "El Toro" when he played 3rd Base like a Bull Fighter with a Red Cape and Hoped the ball (like a Bull) would just Swish-on-by...
- I could go on! For example, Cooker hits a Single and the Manager sends in a 71 year old "Pinch Runner"!
YIKES!!!! SHUT ME UP!!!! or I will be Revealing the whole Movie Script!

I can't believe nobody has responded to this yet. I'm depressed...
Like Obama, the Pea Blog is on a downward spiral...we may soon be calling it "The Dinosaur Blog"
Dinosaur...3 : one that is impractically large, out-of-date, or obsolete
who is Large Pea? and I am NOT a Dinosore...yet!
If the blog does not suit your tastes, please refrain from commenting, anonymous. No one wants to hear from someone who is afaid to post their Name which will be recognized by others. Coward!
I agree with "Gay"!
Very interesting conversation. So he is in the AL batting DH.
i was at the Game today, 9/3/09, Cooker was 1 for 3...Louie Aparichio, the other Teams Shortstop made a Great play to rob the Cooker! Louie was in Full Regalia, including Wrist Bands & Batting Gloves!I wish I had a camera...there were some Good Players there and three of them asked me (the Fan in a Beach Chair) about Dutch & Stoneman!
As Butch and Sundance said: "Who are these guys?"
Hey Dutch...it's Cooker, I'm back...I play with a guy who says he grew up with you in Swampoodle...Tony Tirendi? Ring a bell? says you will know who he is...lettered in Basketball, Football, Baseball and had some nice memories of you...class of 1960 CardDougherty....nice ballplayer too....
Tony Tirendi was a good player. I remember him well. I believe he went to Corpus Christi, or was it St.Mary the Eternal? Good basketball player. Ask him if he remembers Charlie LaFontano. He was my class mate at Roman. One of my best friends. Now living in Colorado. We keep in touch. He talks about Tirendi all the time.
