Let's see, H.S.Phenom, #1 draft pick, signs for well over 7 figures...quick trip to the majors..MVP awards, Letterman...yea, I would say he's got street cred...now if he were only good looking or had a cute wife...no wonder he has a "huge baseball head!" ...but I hope he throws a no-hitter tonite!!! GO PHILS, GO COLE!!!
How come everyone rips Cole Hamels for being from Southern California if hs has a sub-par game? Chase Utley is from Southern California. How come I never hear that when he has an error? Hamels was a bull last year. Lets let him do his thing.
Why do I get on Cole's SoCal attitude? Beginning of the year he told us not to worry he'll straighten it out. Possibly 10 games max left and I'm not sure he's straightened it out yet. Karma, chill, whatever he calls it, time to man up and pitch one for the ages!
C.Hamels had a great year last year..came to spring training a little unprepared (D.Green says)..
too much"excess" in off-season? perhaps..set a "hi-bar" talking about CyYoungs, No-Hitters, given the title "Ace" of staff etc...then goes and struggles to win only 10 games this year..rolls his eyes, smacks his glove, everything but "yelling directly" at team mate who commits an error..while being "very average" himself...Philly loves the guy and wants him to "step it up" during the run to the series...you tell me he's been all that you expected this year? I still think he's got great potential and I hope he does it tonite! Remember, pitchers are the most imp.players on the field, just like QB's...second basemen are not...that's why they get paid so much to perform...I'm pulln' for the guy, but I hope he's learned a few things this year...Nuf Said...
