When you think about it, it is pretty Amazing...

    • There are about 7 Billon people in the World...we'll say, 3.5 Billion are Male
    • If Ali Ahkbar from the Taliban could throw a baseball 100 MPH, there would be a MLB Scout that would sign him
    • The WORLD SERIES (other than that Soccer thing they do every four years...World Cup?)
    • The World Series is Bigger than the Super Bowl in America...
    • OK...3.5 Billion males in the World and 50 of them get to Play in the World Series...
  • That is Special...
What does that equate to Percentage wise? .oooooo7 in 3.5 Billion? I cannot Equate the Odds...just that the 50 Males in the World Series are "Luckier Ducks" than most Ducks
  • I Hope they appreciate That....

I believe we are about to see one of the all-time great series...they are unbelievably matched in personnel...the edge appears to be M.Rivera out of the bullpen, so if B.Lidge can match his performance..I give us the edge. Our defense is better as well...offensively, too close to call...Overall...Phils in seven!

For you young uns': Last time thes two powerhouses met in the World Series, it went like this...Game 1,
Vic Raschi wins 1-0 over Konstanty; Game 2, Allie Reynolds wins 2-1 over Roberts (10 innings) Game 3, Tom Ferrick wins 3-2 over Meyer (Yanks scored bottom of 9th);
Game 4, Whitey Ford wins 5-2 over Miller. Yankees sweep. I cried for 3 months! Last game was played 10/7/1950 in front of 68,000 fans in Yankee Stadium.

The Big Question is...when will David Montgomery call the Wide Receiver, Eddie. David called the Wide Receiver just Hours before the Phils clinched the Dodgers Series, ergo, I am thinking (if Montgomery is superstitious) Blaze will get a call from his Pal David on the night the Phils can Clinch! At which Point, the Wide Receiver can Demand of David that he and his Family & Friends have Complete Access to the Owner's Box or the Phils will Lose! Sounds like a Plan to Me! GO PHILS!

Gay! You forgot to mention that the Phils best Lefty, Curt Simmons, was called to Military Duty shortly before the WS started and was unable to play. Can you imagine that happening today? It was a different Era..

too excited to make any predictions. They are very evenly matched. The Cooker raises a good point in Rivera/Lidge. Offensively, evenly matched but the Yankees have that "star power". I don't think the Phillies are fazed by that but so much depends on the pitching. Keep it close and we'll see. Amazing! Go Phils!

We should not hear the old excuses of "they need to adjust to the weather, time difference, rowdy crowd, bandbox of a ballfield....." etc.

J Roll wants the big lights and national audience; Little Man. Payback to the world. Utley already e xpressed his feelings for NY at the All Star game introduction. Ryan Howard is on a ALBERT WHO? campaign.

Gonna be a great one.
