A whole lot of Sport Pretending going on in the City this week...

These two "ice skaters" pretended they were fighting...
  • The 76ers and Allan Iverson pretended they were Happy to be back together
  • ...and the Phillies are pretending that the Plaxico, er Placido, er Placid Polanco, er, Palamino,erPalmyra signing will take them over the TOP next year!
  • while Andy Reid pretends it's all his Fault and he has everything under control
  • ...while Michael Vick pretends he is an EAGLE!
What was wrong with Pedro Feliz? Pretend you know...

The problem with Pedro Feliz was that the Phillies exceeded the Z factor this year. Feliz, Ruiz, Ramirez, Ibanez. You can only have so many Zees around you.

Too many Zees and you're asking for trouble. I learned the hard way......

Have to disagree with you on this one Pea. I watched that fight live. As much as I like Mike Richards, he got lumped up in this one. Bieska landed a quick punch right off the bat and Richards spent the rest of the fight trying to recover. I give him credit for trying to get something going to wake the team up, but I would rather have Richards scoring goals than fighting Bieska. What was funny was that Bieska wanted no parts of Dan Carcillo (or his awesome moustache) later in the game... Man up Bieska!

Hey Slim- just remember that without the Zees you have no chance of ever achieving gender balance in your clan.

Always wanted to ask, what is a Zee? Is that Spanish for the Symbol of ZORRO? Or, is it a Hybrid German name? Also, what is a Bieska???

These immature "Phony Phightin' Phlyers" just got another coach fired. Bring back Freddie Shero!!!

Pea- Zee is the Dutch (think wooden shoes not Mechanicsburg), word for sea.

Gay- John Stevens got himself fired. Nice guy, nice AHL coach, way over-matched at the NHL level.

These guys will turn it around.

this weeks Sports Illustrated has an article on how tough the Flyers are. Have not read it yet, but Tough does not necessarily equate to Good...

Tough does in fact = GOOD in the NHL.

Dutch- there is still room on the bandwagon (obstructed view).
