- She has not had a smoke or a Beer since the incident
- I am now smoking & drinking for two
- She has gained 9 lbs since release from the Hospital & I am starting to see Hips form
- Cardiologist says her heart is OK but the arteries that service it are clogged and too small for stints (stents?)
- So the solution is by-pass

One of the reasons that Judy Ann was sent home after her Heart Attack was...
Some Tests showed that she may have Lung Cancer. Well, we got the results of her PET Scan yesterday and her lungs are fine. PET Scan, never heard of it before. It stands for "Positron Emission Tomography". They put a Radioactive Chemical in your blood stream and scope out your organs! Who thinks of this stuff?

Glad to hear the good news. Prayers work.
All the best JudyAnn...we prayin' for you too!
JA & Gerry,
Saw the blog about Judy Ann & by-pass ...gotta comment. Go for it when you can (one reason...no other choice if you have clots) Your situ is not unusual in these cases as some people can do stents and others need by-pass (difference is the condition of the vessels clogged, can they support a stent?). Either way the repairs are made and blood flows freely as long as patient adheres to healthy diet, i.e., no smoking, fats, junk reduce stress, get moderate exercise. In time (+/- yrs. 7-10?) they may clog & you hope there's a warning. I have friends who had multiple bp and they're doing great 3-5 yrs out. they limit alcohol and get exercise, etc. Catheterization sounds scary to some but it's really not to the doctors who are experts. The tip is blunt & very flexible & won't pierce the vessels. I sold some of the first cath's long ago when the procedure was brand new & scary. Much of the fear today is drama carried thru the yrs. Just do what is recommended and relax. They know what they're doing. By the way, the condition artheroscloerosis, never goes away. If one is susceptible to clots, the possibility always exists you may have more. Join the crowd. Ciao.
