What does this Logo Symbolize and where did it come from?

Also, do you think "The Who" did a good job at Halftime?
  • another Super Bowl thought...I thought the guy waking up in a stupor in Africa, looking for a Coke, was the best commercial.

The Who: the songs are great, they didn't do it for me, they're a little long in the tooth. I think it's time for the NFL to come up with something different for the SB Half Time. Why does it have to be music, think differently and feature something different. Since the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction" they've had bands like McCartney, Rolling Stones, Springsteen, Tom Petty, and the Who. I think they need a new direction.

Great idea Blaze! Next year it's a macrame demonstration.

Hey, McKendry Brothers! How about and "Idol"-type show:

Have your agent contact the SuperBowl Committee.

Just picture it: Stadium-full of happy (HOPEFULLY, Eagles'?) fans swaying & singing
..."sweet Caroline...SO GOOD! SO GOOD!! ...Amy, I could stay with you..."

Oh, the thrill of it all!!! AND, you would have NO shortage of tech/equipment help, I'm sure!

Blaze: You must know SOMEONE w/some connections...you always do!

I was telling Mary that I thought it was time to move away from the "geezers" I grew up with, for the halftime show...I thought the WHO were ok, but didn't come across too well..especially for the young folks...although I did like the drummer...It was Ringo's son Zac Starkey! ...if anyone cares!

I did not know that Cooker. I noticed they kept him in virtually every shot - a touch of youth between two older, English gentlemen.

I saw George's son at some Benefit & the similarity was scary!

How about the Wu-Tang Clan for next year? 10 angry black rappers talking about The 36 Chambers... What could be better? Sadly, the Old Dirty Bastard will not be able to make it. He passed away a few years ago...

The symbol is a Fleur De Lis. French symbol originally meaning perfection, light and life. Worn by the Saints since 1969. Used by Joan Of Arc during battle. Not sure if she won or lost! Google with an assist from WikiP

I have an idea; NO SHOW at all. I don't need the lip-sync anyway. Hit the head, fridge and refresh the beer, time for the 2nd half.

how about a stand up comedian for the Super Bowl halftime show?

Hate to disagree with you Dutch but as a bathroom trained historian I can tell you that Fluer de Lis is Frenchie for Flour for Less.

Since they have a port there in NO they brought flour in by the ship load for them french pastries. The french ate so many that they could care less for the land. They sold it to the US in the Louisianna Purchase and Thomas Jefferson negotiated the deal and had the french include their rights to french fries, french toast and french kissin.. He passed on the Peugeot thing.

The reason it's shaped like it is, is because it's a fork to eat them pastries.

There is NO truth to the story that the French complained they were robbed in the purchase and Jefferson said, "Fork them Frenchies" in court.

Now you know...The Rest of the Story.
