start slow, don't do anything that hurts, just keep moving something, wear tight shorts-high sox-and sleeveless tee shirts
Buy a weight belt, chalk and some spandex, it's time to lift!

I would suggest you start by simply walking 20 - 30 mins per day. After dropping a few pounds you could then move on. Don't give them any $$$ unless you're sure you will stick with it.
