R.I.P. Robin Roberts

I never saw him pitch. Never saw him win a game. I did play basketball against him, he liked it physical and competitve. I did play baseball for him in high school, for one year. I remember a talk he had with me in his home office, when I went there for dinner before a night basketball game. Too bad I didn't realize at the time how special this guy was as a player and as a person. I guess I was thinking I would still be able to say hello to him someday and tell him thanks for caring.

I played baseball with his grandkid. His son was my coach. very nice people. I didn't know much about Sr. but I'm sure he was a heck-uv-a player.

I saw him play many times, he was a Baseball Guy! He could pitch, hit and field & he Loved to win. I always thought that Brother John looked like Robbie. Couldn't play like Robbie! Just resembled him.
