If you notice, the philly cop is has something on his right hip that would have put this jerk down forever. I like what Edward J said, "if you don't run on the field you don't get tased!" Simple as that...
"Jerk" is a good description. Apparently, he first called his Dad for "permission" to run on the field & his Dad told him that wasn't a good idea. NOW, let's see if the Dad doesn't sue for "pain & suffering" & "embarrassment in front of his peers"!!!
A bit excessive...but a great photo and a great shot on the run, by one of Philly's finest! Mixed feelings, since I have often considered a "mad dash" myself...course no Taser's gonna stop the "fightin' Irishman"! I'd still be jukin'baby...
I don't know if he needed to be "tasered". What was he going to hurt? Did he have a weapon and needed to be subdued? It seems we can over react to a teenager who was having fun with his buddies. Did he cause any damage? Please hand me my flower child PEACE sign
Excessive? Yes. But police consider tasers to be a good way to stop whatever is going on. To me, that's the risk a fan takes when they run on the field.
If all 6 or 7 guys jumped on him he stood a much greater risk of death from suffocation; something that a ton of folks have succumbed to by police.
Bottom line for me, both sides made a bad judgement but only the kid could have prevented both mistakes.
