the "stone handed" Montco team, 16-13. Jason's two Home Runs & Luds' 5 for 6 day were not enough to offset the speed & power of the "Chopper & Tattoo Club" from Delco.
- With a 109 degree heat index, one of the BIG stories of the day was the play of Montco's (close to 63 year old) second baseman.
- Yes Fans, the Cooker managed to toil & inspire his teammates through 8 strong innings.
- He was "Utleyesque" but to no avail..."his bat speed has somewhat diminished"
- ...and he was unable to "Poke a Homer"

Very impressive, Cooker. You are an inspiration to us all.
I hear from a good source that GeraldPea even entered the game in the last inning - replacing Cooker at second base. GP assisted on a force-out at second and got up to bat, smashing a 'dribbler' back to the pitcher to end the game (Jason was GP's designated runner). GP told this reporter he was 'nervous' when he was up to bat. I'm guessing he didn't want to get hit by the pitch?
I gotta say this...the Montco Team is so inept that they have 2 & one half players that can play Baseball let alone know the Rules of Baseball. Jason is reluctant to "cut" anyone, but if somehow he found himself with a Bench consisting of DutchJohnPeaCookerT.J.&Blaze he may be able to "go to his Bench" and Win the Montco/Delco Fall Classic! The Fall Classic...The Fall Classic...
I like your thought process Observer! Jason could also have on his Bench Max, Justin,Calvin & Matthew...!
