The horses that wear the eye cover are Arabian. Arabians are of the Muslim persuasion. Females in the Muslim persuasion wear burkhas so the females don't have to make eye contact with those smelly male Muslims and the studly macho guys they are don't get the lusties for those hotty female Muslimettes. Ergo, any horse wearing an equine burkha, is a mare.
