- never got an answer on the cost for the Bike

Heck Pea, for $112.00 I'll drive you to Baltimore and back. We can throw the bike in the back of the van. I'll even wear my Limo Drivers Cap!!
I love train rides, you shoulda gone...Baltimore is a nice town, Orioles, Harbor, Crab Cakes, Babe Ruth's home...

Amtrak loses over $1 billion annually! They need to charge you double for bringing that ten speed on board. And I'm sure your size 14 helmet takes up way more overhead space than allowed. That's another $30!
