On February 9, 1964 ... a reminder

What is the real story around this event? Is it true that there was a priest at our house that Sunday and it almost made us miss this moment? I was 8 years old...

What a time it was...and yes, it was Fr.Nevins who was invited to dinner by Jack and Mary, on Sunday Feb.9th... and Fr.Nevins stood right in front of the TV when they were introduced and began to sing, and he said" look at these guys, ridiculous!" we were trying to look through his legs and around him, the entire time...it's still annoying to think about it...good grief!

With only two posts after what is considered a culturally seminal moment in pop culture..I can only conclude that musically speaking...this family is "nowhere man!".

I remember that night well I was a Senior in High School & the chicks thought I looked like John Lennon! I don't remember Fr Nevins however. I do remember Dad saying they will never last as long as The Mills Brothers...and they didn't!

The best part of this video is watching Ringo dance at the end. That song is great...

a few comments on the video/audio... it's shame that John's microphone does not seem to on, Paul is much louder. George is just 19 years old - he would be 20 on Feb. 25th.

I remember being upstairs doing some Monday class preparation work whilst my siblings wasted their time on that flash in the pan group.

Wish that prep had paid off.
