RATHER: "I still can't believe that here, in the second decade of the 21st century, in a presidential campaign, that we're talking about contraception. Rachel, do you know any woman, of any race, creed, color or religion, who doesn't use some form of birth control?"
- Just after that spiel... Rachel went to a commercial break...

I had never seen her show until the other night. She spent a good 10-12 minutes straight breaking down the supreme court and what the arguments were in the health care proceedings. I'd never seen a news cast do a segment that long on one topic, with no guests and no cut-aways to stories about the Kardashians or Octomom. I thought it was very informative. Whether I was for or against her position, I thought to myself, "That Rachel Maddow is pretty smart," right before I changed the channel to the "Khloe & Lamar" show.
Nice going Dan! That's like telling me how to buy a Porsche. Neither would be necessary.
On second thought, I just might win the lottery but she'll NEVER .....you get the picture.
I'm a big fan of her show. She's a former Rhodes Scholar and rattles info, reports and commentary like a gattling gun. I marvel how she commands the english language and never stutters or hesitates. Also a great interviewer and she is patholgically pleasant/humorous even when challenged. Treats guests w/ warm respect even if they have opposing opinions.....always shakes their hand at completion. Very smart. Very well prepared.
