Big Sis & her Main Squeeze are headed to Colorado... ..
...and it got me thinking of my time there, when I broke my ankle & learned Karate. They made me work in the Mess Hall where I baked a huge cherry pie that people couldn't eat. I used the wrong cherries! the ones with the pits & stems still in them.

Middletown Blue Raiders learned this and Rocky Mt. High after hearing on PA every day while waming up for practce. Nothing like young AA high schoolers singing Rock. Mt High & this song.
Sat in front row at Valley Forge and heard JD sing, guitar, piano and fiddle...coulda touched him, so close. RIP.
I propose a wager...I feel confident in breaking my 5K Personal Best of 2 hours and 55 mins and doing it in Colorado. Anyone care to wager against it?? Altitude, Mile High??? Bring it on. I will cross the finish line with a bottle of Coors in one hand and my Last Will and Testament in the other.
In the light air @ mile high I'll bt u get it down to 2 hrs. 52 min. Ya gotta find a stream and have that Cors while bathing, ala the commercial.
5K is what? 3 miles? That means you are averaging just under 1 Hour per mile...no way you can keep up that pace, Caballero! I'm down for a Benjamin!
