...on our way to dinner on Saturday we visited the US Army War College...We had to get through DHS Security Guards...Our driver, Paul, told them that I was a Veteran & that his Daughter was married on the Grounds. He also smiled at them...the Guards...
- the Guards were like Honey Badgers...they didn't give a shit!
We three had to give them ID, open the Glove Compartment , "please"... Exit the vehicle & leave all four Doors open..."Please" step to the curb, "please"...so we did.
- The Guards then invaded the vehicle, ran Mirrors under the vehicle, even had the Hood of the Vehicle opened & then wished us a Happy Day...
They, however, never checked our "person"
- Did they give us a Break? Were they lax in their duty for not Frisking us? Or is Frisking not allowed?
Anyway, that was part of my Saturday with my big Sis and her adorable Husband...

Pea, if you remember, we had to go through the same thing when Sam & Kelly were married up at USMA West Point. Only at that time the guards were REAL military. However, when I told them I served in the ROTC they let us pass without further ado!!
Re your camera...they probably wouldn't have allowed pics and would have "seized" it...!
from what I understand ROTC carries weight @ The Point & Cameras will be "seized" on any Federal Property!
I'll keep watching CAUGHT ON TAPE. I'm sure the guards labeled the "incident" A KEEPER !!
The scene; 3 seniors pull up to a gate. "what he say?!?" "I'm an ROTC vet!" "What he say?" "my daughter got married here!" "What he say?" "you pervert, my daughter got..." "PAUL! DO WHAT HE SAYS!". "WHAT HE SAY????" "Outta the car, ALL OF YOU!"
Yep, I'll be watching CAUGHT ON TAPE.
Whoa..quite an adventure. What is so secretive about the place? War College..bunch of college kids hangin' out on campus? where's the danger? what am i missing?
