A Sound System/Viet Nam Story...
My stereo sound system has been on the fritz for quite some time. The Receiver shuts down after a few minutes play time. Paddy's Pal Chris told me it was a "grounding" problem. He comes over last night, lays prone on the floor at the back of my system & repairs the thing!!! Since he was here I asked him if he could hook up my Saigon Speakers (bought in 1968). They Blew the Room Away!!! They sounded tremendous...so I told the young ones how they came to be in Lancaster in 2012. I won about $700 in an impromptu one-on-one basketball challenge in Long Bien that lasted 3 nights on a dirt court. It was a "I got the winner" type challenge. Had to pay to enter...loose & you can just watch. After paying off my backers I ended up with some cash, was in Saigon & bought the speakers & a Seiko watch for my younger Bro who had just graduated High School...Last night one of Paddy's friends commented that my speakers were older than his Dad...Cracked me up...

How about if we have a major sporting event without Referees, Umpires, Judges or Stewards? I Love that a 65 to one shot did ...

I still have the Seiko that the Psycho bought me in 1968.
Pea you tell some great stories..I always enjoy them.
great story Pea. I think you should contact the manufacturer of those speakers and share the story, telling them they're still sounding great (to a guy with two hearing aids).
Btw, i really like the fleece/sweatshirt you're wearing - from Martin guitar. Gotta get me one of those.
