No, don't do that. If you want nylon strings, you can easily buy an inexpensive nylon string guitar at any GuitarCenter or anywhere. This is a Taylor guitar and although not an expensive, collector guitar, it is still a very nice guitar. Putting nylon strings on it would be a shame. Play the damn thing a little more and your fingers will toughen up.
How about if we have a major sporting event without Referees, Umpires, Judges or Stewards? I Love that a 65 to one shot did ...

The guitar would mostly sound "dead", but it wouldn't hurt the guitar at all...but why would you want to do that? ...fingers hurt?
