Got $17.50 in coupon discounts today @ BJ's & Maureen burst my Bubble!

 I was bragging about my coupon prowess when Maureen asked me what I bought. I had to admit, I bought stuff that I had coupons for...not stuff I really needed. This is what I bought w/ my coupons:

1. 32 pack of Diet Coke...(-$2.00)
2. Chobani(?) yogurt (-$2.00)
3. Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, 24 count (-$3.00)
4. Klondike Ice Cream sandwich, 24 count (-$2.00)
5. Chewy Treat Dog Treats (-$1.50)
6. Duracell AAA batteries, u can never have too many AAA batteries. (-$2.50)
7. 3 pack  Coppertone sun screen (-$3.00) for Health reasons
8. Nut Lovers Cashews, 21oz (-$1.50) cause I like cashews ( & who doesn't?)

Actually, I am Now looking at that list & thinking...I did need that stuff...Maureen !!!

Sunday Morning

After letting the dogs out each morning and making some toast and yogurt for breakfast, the first thing I do is check the GPea Blog for the latest family and world news. Today, how-some-ever, I went to YouTube first and found this gem. You'll all remember John Fogerty from the 60's and Creedence Clearwater Revival but, in this video he is joined by a great, young band called Dawes. Dawes played a free concert in Lancaster last summer - I didn't make it but I know Bill Zee was there.

I just thought everyone might enjoy this wonderful collaboration.

Took him 5 months to decide what Martin he wanted...they (he & EJ) travelled to NY to purchase  it.
Now that's a nice Birthday present!

Heard the cutest Story today...

Michael (Pop) was the "Secret Reader" @ Matthew's first grade class. What that means is that Michael was introduced by the teacher to the class while Michael was standing in the hallway. The teacher tells the kids, today's "Secret Reader" enjoys:

• Flying things: like birds, planes &  kites
• Wild animals
• and playing Rock'n Roll with his friends

Michael then enters the classroom w/ his guitar and Matthew's ukeleili (Matthew had no idea) but he sat down beside his Pop strumming along proud as could be!

• Oh yea, when it came to the reading part ?  Michael read them excerpts from the 2013 edition of "Baseball Prospectus"

Just to wrap up the end of the track season at Warwick Middle School & to stir things up...I offer this summation:

1. Dierdre (on the right) and in 7th grade ran a 60 second 400
2. Fiona (on the left) and in 8th grade has said..."I'm faster than her!" and says she will run Track next year.
3. Poppy says if they both run track next season he will print T shirts that read:

Man! This was a creepy guy...

This is the guy from the IRS that was fired by Pres Obama over the IRS harassment of "Conservative" groups. He was only in that position for 6 months, not really responsible for what was going on & was retiring anyway so what a Great Scape-goat!.

The people in charge of that program at that time have moved on to more important positions. Like now running the implementation of Obamcare.

I'm sure few of you watched the House hearings when this guy was questioned by House Members on the Ways & Means Committee concerning the IRS over-reach...

The IRS...a really intimidating body & this guy personified that attitude...

...but what the Hay!.... I keep trying to make Jason & Courtney's 6/14 wedding the hi-light of conversation on Blossom Hill, but there is Far Bigger anticipation about Keelan's due date on 6/17!

We even reviewed photos tonight from a place called "Womb with a View".  They specialize in certain views & Maureen has not been able to stop looking at the Glossys!

I have to admit, the views boggled my mind & freaked me out more than a little bit.

Looking at the future daughter these two will have that appears to be on the other side of a window, looking at us, just waiting to show up....

Meanwhile, I remain Excited over the up-coming Wedding!

The women of Lancaster think there is something shady about this

Two weeks ago Jason & 17 of his friends went to Vegas for his Bachelor Party. He said they all had a great time. The Tour Guide & Best Man was Sam. And Sam Knows Vegas, Baby!

Bottom line...not one photo was taken or Posted during the entire weekend. TJ & I were saying, can you imagine the Photo Posts if 18 women spent a weekend in Vegas?

It was fortunate that there were no incidents & Ronan did not have to change outfits!

Timmy tells me you have been under the weather with a heavy cold that has affected your breathing. I tried to call your cell phone but I understand you may have 'misplaced' it?

A while ago, I was going through some old tapes and found this one. Pretty amazing...

Apartment dwellers don't know this...

But.... it is Grass mowing season. I have never mowed a lawn on the seat of my pants but I am willing to give it a try! With TJ's bizzy day in mouse trap manufacturing I asked him to show me how to Mow while sitting down.

He said, "we'll see, maybe later"...

what does that mean?

Thanks to the advice from my Sister, I am now saving $$$ by shopping at ALDI

Be advised...you need to bring a quarter to get a cart... but it is reimbursed  when you return it to the corral. I had to ask a woman how do I re-connect the cart to get my quarter back! Also, they do not provide Bags so bring your own. My brother John has gone on & on about how Great the "Whole Foods" stores are. They are Xpensive. If there is an ALFI Food Store in your area I say you should check it out!
