It has been decided that the cat will be in a box in the Pea's place. Problem is...the cat jumps out of the box & likes the Pea and the Pea likes the cat...what do we do about that? we need to do what with the cat? any suggestions?

Since I absolutely HATE cats, you probably don't want to hear my suggestion of what to do with it.
I don't understand how people could hate a Kitten. This Kitten has the tip of her left ear missing and a broken right rear leg that splits when she walks. How does a cat, known for falling from high places, break a leg? Someone else suggested that I toss the cat into the fish tank & solve two problems at the same time. To me they are not Problems!
Meow in the world can you bring in a cat to a house full of dogs? That's like a liberal & a conservative rooming together..the fur is gonna fly..metaphorically speaking, of course.
