Some music from my trip to New Hampshire and Camp Pemigewassett (Pemi)
Thought you all might enjoy hearing this young fiddle player I met on my trip to New Hampshire last week.
I finally found a Bungalow in Maine that is affordable and if we're lucky and the Tides are right, we could end up in Nova Scotia when we wake up in the Morning!
"Bungalow: a house that has one main level and a second smaller level above"
The place goes for $190 per week while on the shores of the USA and jumps to $1500 per night if we end up on the shores of Nova Scotia.
Damn exchange rate!
We have to sign a "Release" cause we could end up anywhere and the Landlord is not responsible for finding us if we should stray into the North Atlantic!
My older brother (who is on vacation for 5 days) wants to go for it!
I'm a little bit hesitant

Have you seen this Summers Coke Cans? Whoever at Coke that came up with this idea needs a Huge Bonus! We were all chatting about it yesterday at the 2014 Baby Shower of the year if you were Lucky enought to be there!
I think it's called "Share a Coke with a Fiend" ( I left the 'r' out on purpose to see who is paying attention).
Brother Blaze, who is a former Coke addict, says that he is so enthralled with new Summer program that he may start doing Coke again!
At yesterdays Courtney Baby Shower we were sharing Coke stories
Timmy bought 37 of them in a Supermarket on a Sunday morning after Mass cause they had all his kids & Grandkids & names of people he works with on the cans.
Kelly did the same thing in California
Paddy found 3 cans in Dallas with the names: Paddy, Katie and Alex on them!
Michael is another one...he was drinking Diet Coke at the Courtney Baby Shower, playing Pea's harmonica, predicting that Pepsi will pick up on this new trend sometime next year. While Pepsi continuues to make "Direct Deposits" via EFTS to the Cookers Bank Account!
Don't ya just Love Big Business?

Millennial, a person between 18 & 32,Yelled at me and my friend today!
Me and a friend were sitting at a table today with a Millenial. We were having a conversation & the Millenial was studying their phone. My friend asked the Millenial to put the Device down & the Millenial freaked out!
Millennial: "I am so sick of you old people that don't understand that we can multi-task!"
The Millenial continued...
"We can Text & carry on a conversation at the same time...unlike you!"
Me and my friend ate our salads, my friend called the office, got an 'all is well' and left to pick up the Grandkids.
Told me the Grandkids had to be taken to soccer practice and the spouse had a late meeting and my friend had to first stop at the Market then go home and cook dinner 'cause the Grandkids were staying over.
'causeThe Millennial Parents needed a Break.
But Cooker is probably right

Remember that guy walking down the driveway yelling that?

A good idea for a Photography project but Matthew Christopher needs more knowledge, Imagination and insight. But he is just the Camera guy...and I am working on the 'Link" process that Eddie was showing me
http://news.yahoo.com/photos/abandoned-churches-1404932610-slideshow/
Sad stuff
The Photograher should have mentioned that his Photos were taken before and during Planned Demolition. He makes it look like the Churchs' were just left to Rot. Not true. Although it did take a while between closure & demolition
It is still a waste & an example of Poor Planning on the part of the Church.
Anyone know what St Ambrose looks like today?
Have you ever Hi-dived? I'm talking 20' or above.
Why doesn't Uncle Timmy have a higher diving board?
Timmy & Maureen are going to have to get a higher diving board & a deeper pool! Their Grandkids no longer wade in the Kiddie area.
My story: I was a Freshman in High School, had never been in Deep water. Fran Dolan & I sat on the side of Highway Pool (after hitching there) for about an hour. We were wondering if we could swim the width of the pool. Should we go at the same time? Should one of us hold back in case the 1st one needed help?
We went together. We made it!
And by the end of the Summer we were doing Double Flips off the Hi-dive.

Hands Conversion
Here is a handy table that will convert your horse's height in hands to show you how many inches, feet, or meters tall your horse is.
Traditionally, a horse's height is calculated in hands, one hand being equal to four inches. The measurment is taken from the ground level to the highest point on the horse's withers.
The red line is where the measurement would be taken, about in the middle of the withers, at their highest point.
Since a hand is equal to four inches, you can calculate your horse's height in inches by this formula:
4 x WH + FH = Inches high
Where WH stands for the horse's whole hands, and FH stands for any fraction of the horse's height left over.
For example, a 15.2HH horse's height could be calculated as follows :
4 X WH + FH = Inches high =
4 X 15 + 2 = 62 Inches high
Anna is riding a big horse!

Oh Man! I can't imagine the anxiety Neil Armstrong's Grandpop was feeling in 1969.
I remember that night. It was a Sunday, July 20, pouring rain in Sea Isle City & it was flooding! We had the Moon walk on my car radio (the '64 Impala, white on the outside & Cherry Red interior with Power Windows) while I drove Michael and Danny on a drive-by down Mary & Jane's block. Danny & Michael were each wearing disguises while I was AWOL from New Cumberland Army Depot & we passed John sleeping on a bench in the rain waiting for a bus back to The Big Apple! He was an IBMer
We all cheered when Walter Cronkite told us that Neil & Buzz were safely on the Moon!
I remember he said "safely"...seemed strange to me.
Oh yea, Mary & Jane's house was empty and dark. This upset the 2 disguised guys.

My further conversation with the 8 year old
Do you like Beyonce'...who's that?
How about JZ?...don't know her.
Kim Kardashian?...Who?
OK, you must know Kanye West...west what?
How about Taylor Swift? Oh, I know her, she's my Role Model!
The 8 year old I interviewed is on the far right in the Photo...Nora.
From The Pea...I have to admit I do not know Taylor Swift's music...I know something about her life story but I do not know her music.

Have you ever U-Hauled? If so, how far?
Personally, I have driven over 7,000 Miles either in a U-Haul or with a U-Haul attached!
I bring this up because I was sitting among UPS people today. They were talking Receiving, Shipping, Sorting, Packing and Moving...
I heard them say that UPS budgets $50,000 to $70,000 for a family transfer!
7,000 Miles and I never paid U-Haul more than $647.27
UPS needs to have their people contact U-Haul
(just saying)

How about if we have a major sporting event without Referees, Umpires, Judges or Stewards? I Love that a 65 to one shot did ...
