Oh Man! I can't imagine the anxiety Neil Armstrong's Grandpop was feeling in 1969.

I remember that night. It was a Sunday, July 20,  pouring rain in Sea Isle City & it was flooding! We had the Moon walk on my car radio (the '64 Impala, white on the outside & Cherry Red interior with Power Windows) while I drove Michael and Danny on a drive-by down Mary & Jane's block. Danny & Michael were each wearing disguises while I was AWOL from New Cumberland Army Depot & we passed John sleeping on a bench in the rain waiting for a bus back to The Big Apple! He was an IBMer

We all cheered when Walter Cronkite told us that Neil & Buzz were safely on the Moon!
I remember he said "safely"...seemed strange to me.

Oh yea, Mary & Jane's house was empty and dark. This upset the 2 disguised guys.

Pea..most of your stories are close to the truth. Yes we were together watching the Lunar Landing..and it was so cool! ...as was your car, but your car's interior was light blue, not red...the Chevy Biscayne (Tim's) old car, was White with Red interior..as for Danny and Me...that's a story for another time.

Michael, back in'69 you were a Rock Star playing the # 1 Gig in Avalon...your head was in the Stars (not on Drugs) near the Moon! We did not watch the Lunar Landing, we listened to it! There was no TV in our apartment. My '64 Impala was white with a Red dashboard & Timmy's Biscayne was Black with a grey interior! I wish Danny were here...he would back me up!
