I just thought some of us Old Timers might enjoy this
Other than the obvious Stars can anyone ID the lesser known stars?
(oh yea, & it sounds so much better if you listen with headphones on)

Right to left: Neil Young, Tom Petty, Steve Cropper on guitar, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Roger McGuinn, Duck Dunn on Bass, G.E. Smith on guitar, George Harrison, Jim Keltner and Anton Fig on drums... how's that?
Outstanding! The guy I wanted to know about was the multi hair colored guy, G.E. Smith. Never knew who he was but have seen him everywhere. Smith was born January 27, 1952 in rural Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania as George Edward Haddad, a Lebanese American whose last name means blacksmith in Arabic. He started playing guitar at the age of 4. In 1959, at the age of 7, he was given a C. F. Martin guitar. On his 11th birthday Smith's mother bought him his first electric guitar, a Fender Telecaster, a model that dated to 1952, his birth year.
If you want to enjoy a great evening, beg, borrow or steal the DVD Bob Dylan 30th Anniversay from Madison Sq.Garden...whew! You will love it folks..it's magnificent. Or, get your hands on the George Harrison Royal Albert Hall tribute DVD...equally wonderful, time & time again!
One of my musical thrills was trading licks with G.E. Smith on the stage at the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame during a jam at the Corporate Band weekend circa 2008. It didn't mean much to him but it did to me.
What a coincidence! I was just on G.E. Smith's FB page and he said one of the highlights of HIS career was playing on stage at the R & R HOF with an Irish American guy named EJ Blaze . BTW I recognized Dylan, Harrison, Petty, Clapton, CSN &Y guys but not who is who, and knew the Amish haircut guy from SNL but didn't know he was a blacksmith.
Cooker, if you have either of those DVD's, that would be a great excuse for a BM gathering at Pea's Place with his concert hall surround sound. I'll give MOH a $10 coupon for Christmas Tree Shop and she then won't be around to complain about THE LOUD MUSIC he plays.
