The Cavada boys & the Greenwood Dairies

the 4 of them (along w/ their Dad) visited an ice cream store @ the shore.

Probably cost their Dad about $40.00 or so...

Did they get a pin on badge? I bet not.

I remember Paul taking us to a place near Langhorn
for a "Pigs Dinner"

The Dinner consisted of ice cream... and me, Michael,
Jimmy McVeigh and some kid named Joe got buttons
with a sharp pin attached
cause we finished the dinner...

and I am thinking now it cost my "future" brother-in -law about $9.47 @ the time.

But we did tell our Sis that we really liked him...

Pea..u continue to amaze...where did u find the button ?
And by the way, in our prime, the Dornisch/Cavada clan, wouldn't even come close..Why, back in the day, Tim was just warming up with 12 scoops, ha!!

Made a couple Greenwood dairy runs myself with St. Ambrose guys (joe Murphy, Moon Regan, Tom Olbrick, Fran Queenan, etc.) after we played bball in the hall & set up chairs forSunday Mass......proud to say, never left a morsel.

Went once summer of 1960 with Ace McCann (another Roman HS stud), his brother Frank and couple other guys. We all got one & finished everything....sickening gluttony.
Great memories...simple times.
