When Eddie was here he told us about the brother of Christopher's friend. I admit that these horrible events in the lives of people make me squeamish & too sad & I want to just tune them out...

But a couple of people asked me to Post this on the blog, so I will...I am not good at 'links'...

Christopher is about 29. I believe this is the younger brother of Chris's best friend. And bad stuff happened to him.

"An extremelyy close and loyal family friend, Dan Kleckner, recently went through, literally, the fight of his life. Dan is an amazing person who has never hesitated to help family and friends. On March 11, 2015, Dan went to the emergency room in excruciating pain with a fever of 103°. Hours later he entered septic shock from a raging staph infection. Dan's condition was termed 'a complete body shut down', he was placed on life support. In order to save his life, doctors performed multiple surgeries resulting in a double amputation of both of his legs above the knee. Dan will need months of aggressive therapy and surgery to hopefully get him to the point of being able to use prosthetics. If you can, please help support Dan's medical costs and share this page! Thank you, thank you."

thanks for the support everyone. What has happened to Dan is so sad but he has been a real fighter and defied the odds so far. Just as the write up mentioned, if you needed help Dan was always the guy who showed up. One quick story, I was in CA visiting Chris and Kendra and out to dinner with them. Susan called and there was a bad rain storm at home. The rain was pouring in through our horrible skylights. It was almost midnight on a Sunday night and Susan needed help. She called Dan. He was at our house in 15 minutes and grabbed some tarps and bricks and went out on the roof (even though he didn't like heights...) to cover up the skylights. He has always been funny, helpful, and a real character. It is so sad to see this happen to him. Thanks for thinking of, and praying for, Dan and his family.

Where to send the money????? Very sad.

Why don't u & the band, or whoever, run a benefit concert and publicize it at Iron Pigs game and radio, etc. Combine with high school friends, relatives, work associates, neighbors, medical home care businesses, treatment hospital, local merchants for endorsement publicity and wham, several thousand $$$$.....great poject and way for you to demo marketing skills....helps your own credentials. Jessayin'....growth & success take lotsa energy and risk.
