We have played a little Poker while Poppy has been watching the Poppyseeds this week.

Thanks to Uncle Eddie's donation of a 

22 pound (I weighed it!)

Gambling Black Box more than 2 years ago,

the Poppyseeds are becoming pretty good 

at Poker.

Liam needs to work on his Poker Face.

Today he was dealt 3 of a kind in the first hand. He got so excited,

jumping up & down...he called time out for a...

comfort break.

It was gone before Timmy & Maureen left for the 11AM mass on sunday.

Got an Irish Soda Bread out of the Poppy Pool Party... ohYea!

Alyce gave me an Irish soda bread that I hid

in a basket on top of my refrigerator.

my grandaughter Brynn does not like me.

Every time Jason left me with her she cried.

Oh...and Uncle John left his charger behind.

And I just know that Brynn will eventually come to like me.

did anyone else notice that the Soda Bread

was packaged differently & had a Flag emblem?

I needed scissors to open my Soda Bread.

Poppy Pool Party Preparations & Shopping

TJ and myself drove to Karns (?) Food store in Hershey for food for the Pool Party. I was told they have good meat prices there. So, we each got separate shopping carts & did our business. I don't like shopping in stores that are new to me. I wind up going round & round...
We met up near the check out place and even though we had more shopping to do we sorta nodded to each other & mutually agreed..."lets get the hell out of here"!

The point is that a Poppy Pool Party is not about the food...it's about the children...

there were only burgers you had to make yourself...only 24 hot dogs and a can of baked beans

'cause Karns was an unfamiliar store & Poppy & Pea had had enough of shopping!

Today was a difficult day...

I stained my Corn Hole game boards in preparation for Poppy's Pool Party...discussed  prep time w/Poppy.
Poppy approved the stain job & then left the building to do other things.

From there I went to the polyurethane can Poppy provided me along w/ a brush..

From there I went on to spill the polywhatever

and make my old sandals look new again!

So the patio is covered in poly!@#$%^! and I grab the hose.

Do my best to prevent an environmental crisis.

Then, covered from knee to shiny sandal in urethane 

I go to Poppys wood/paint/chop shop for some paint remover.

No paint remover to be found. But this is what I do find in Poppys Shop

and it worked...!

and not only on my eye makeup....
