45yrs gone..I used to love it, when I was told I looked like her. Happy Birthday,Mom! Yes, I called her Mom and nobody corrected me! ha,ha..
Didn't mean to confuse you Pea..I never called her Mom..not while she was with us..I just called her "Mom", in response to your email.. always thought it was a bit ridiculous that Dad insisted she be called "Mother"..probably cause he had to call Nana Mother?...never did understand that one. I never once heard any of my friends call their Mother, Mother...did you? did anyone in our family, know of anyone calling their Mom, Mother?
I never gave it a thought, Mother, until Maureen asked why we were so "formal". I told her we were lace curtain Irish of nobility. She believed me. She never questioned it again.
