- I was never one that liked answering the door
- Greating the little buggers who never said "trick or treat"
- Then greating the parents that were always standing near the little buggers
- Then you would get the Teen-agers who would show up after 9PM!
- with No costume
I told a story recently about when Michael & I were trick or treating on Boudinot Street.
Michael went to one side of the street, I went to the other side (the side with the odd #'s)
I knocked, the door was opened, I said "trick or treat" they said Trick!
- about 5 guys (teenagers) threw me on the floor and stole my bag of candy
- I think I was about 11.
- Met up with Michael on the sidewalk & told him not to try that house.
- Michael said nothing, just continued his Harvesting of candy on Halloween.
I went back home, never mentioned anything to anybody, got a fresh A&P bag and
went on my own quest for candy...I was dressed as a bum that Halloween, Michael was also dressed as a bum. John never went trick or treating, Alyce always dressed as a Princess but she just stayed in her room, Timmy was way young at the time & stayed home to give treats away with Mother, Eddie was about 2 and was listening to WIBG on the radio in the kitchen and playing air guitar
Dad was directing traffic @ 8th & Market every Halloween night I remember...
and these nutty grandkids are totally into it!
can you name the costume?
Nobody comes to Blossom Hill on Halloween night
& I am not complaining.
